Here is the Heads at Ease mailing label:

When we mail pillowcases to our "own" groups (not one of Molly's adopted groups), use this label only on the package. If the pillowcases are going to one of Molly's adopted groups, use both labels. Both labels are close in size. Download the HAE-Label.PDF file below and you will be able to print the Heads at Ease labels on Avery 8163 or plain paper. If you print on plain paper you will need to tape it onto the package. I have also added a note to be included in your pillowcases. Please fill in your name on the note. The note can be printed on Avery Postcards or plain paper.

We changed the label for several reasons. One was to make "Heads at Ease" more visible. Second, we needed a logo that was not copyrighted.

We were asked to make one for people who are not "Navy" Moms so here is what Sue and I came up with:

I have added the new HAE Note with the new Heads at Ease e-mail address. These have really encouraged thank you notes and those so make our day! Please don't use the ones with the Earthlink address.
Terrific project! Pillowcase guidelines? Fabric selections? Can you have any color or patterned fabric? Do we know anything about the hobbies/interests/preferences of the military member before creating pillowcase? Perhaps I'm over thinking this...
Hi, Zephyr. There are pillowcase instructions and I will bump them up in the discussion threads. I know of no color or pattern restrictions other than the patterns should be in good taste, e.g., nothing sexist or potentially offensive. If we do know of hobbies/interests/preferences we try to send a pillowcase that will incorporate that interest. For example, one time we sent pillowcases to a unit in Guam and all the pillowcases had the favorite team of the recipient. That was a small unit and we had someone working closely with us. But we frequently have tried to do something that appeals to the recipient if we can. It makes it fun.

I particularly like primary colors because they are bright and cheerful.
I'm bringing this back up to the top in case anyone else needs them, besides me.
Is this the label I should use Maryellen-Sue or anyone?
The labels go on the outside of the box so that our groups know where the boxes have come from. The notes go with each pillowcase.
Any time you send out pillowcases as an HAE member you should include the HAE note and use the label.  I assume that the Bush Family Love Project also has a label that will be used.  Maryellen will be able to fill you in on that.

I glue my label to the left of the address on the box.  I just use one, but that's me.

I think ME has designed or will design a Bush label and note.

Ok I think I got it, put the heads at ease on the outside with my name (upper right) and the individual labels that ME gave me with my name on it with each pillow case. And put the HAE note in each box as well? or with each pillow case?
I tape my HAE labels on the box.  I get carried away and normally every side gets one ... or two.  It does generate conversation so I always take the opportunity to explain what I am doing.  You never know when someone might decide to become involved.
You crack me up ..you can never know.. :)

Maybe I should put more on my boxes.  I'll think about it.  I do so many boxes that I have tried to stream line it.

DWG:  I send so many pcs, that I don't do the notes.  Instead, I made up an address label with the HAE logo on it, my HAE email address and a brief note:  this pillowacase was made by and I write in the name of the person.  I think it is important to acknowledge my crew as well.  So if I know the individual's name I write that there.

Although lately, I have received so many from quilting groups and a quiltiing store, that I don't know the individual's names.  So I have another label that is just the logo and email address.  On those I write "thank you, Tucson AZ".

I have 1 letter that I include in every box, even if I am mailing multiple boxes to 1 address.  It explains who I am, who HAE is and how many boxes etc are coming.

Sometimes, I don't even get the labels in the pcs.  It just depends on how pressed for time I am.  It is more important to me to get the pcs out, than labeled, but I do like to do that.
