Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Please note! Changes to this guide happened in October 2017. Tickets are now issued for all guests, and all guests must have a ticket to enter base. A separate parking pass is no longer needed to drive on to base for parking.

I have some good days and I have some bad days but yesterday happend to be a good day. I got a call from my son yesterday and he said he had 2 of his wisdom teeh pulled and he had SIQ for a couple of days. I sure feel a lot better since I heard from him. When I talked to him he said that everything was going good and it seems like it is getting a litte easier. I am counting down the day!! Cant wait for graduation. He is only 17 and has never stayed away from home, so him being at boot camp is hard for me..... I had a son go to college and that was not this bad because I was able to contact him and visit from time to time..... I am so thankful for this site!!! Thanks for being here ladies!!!!!

Montez"sMom he is just a baby I don't know if I would have been able to handle my baby going off that early. I made a promise to my self after reading all the comments and how the other mothers were handling their children being in the Navy that I was going to keep an open mind and just try to learn from the experience of the others who have already experienced the seperation. Ladies got to tell you I am not doing to good, but like you I am so thankful for having a site like this

I haven't gotten any letters. Only the phone call on 9/21. Oh well it will soon be over! I can't wait for 11/19! I have never been out of communication with my sons. It is tough!

It is a shot of penecillan...the color of peanut butter and about as thick. It is pretty painful. The rcts ahve to sit on their butts and wiggle aroundso it will absorb.
It is to cover any infections (STD's primarily)

I got my first letter today! My son is doing great! He loves the Navy! He is marching at graduation carrying the Oregon flag, though he is from NY, but that's ok! He is also designing his division flag! He is an artist so at least he is using his skills! He says phone calls are coming in a week or so! I'm so happy for him & proud!
