Just curious if anyones SR has given them any idea as to when Battlestations will be? I have been reading other divisions and one is Nov. 4th. So just wondering if they all do them the same night or if it gets staggered. When my son does call he catches me off guard and my mind goes blank..so I am writing down questions to ask..my luck he will call my cell while I am at work and my questions will be at home!!
idk... i heard it was week 7:/
not sure though....i will ask my husband if he knows next time he calls too.. i know what you mean my mind goes blank too!LOL... hopefully we will remember to ask.
if this is any help, my son said he thought they would BS-21 on the 9th. So Not sure if he was told this or calculated this??
Can some one help me with what battle station is?
Battle Stations is boot camps ultimate test. The SR (divisions) all work together as a group for 12 hrs straight. They hae to use all their knowledge and skills learned into 12 different scenarios. They are all graded on their ability to execute the required tasks. Once they have successfully completed they get the final reward..a U.S. Navy ball cap. This signifies they are no longer a recruit but a U.S. Sailor!! Usually begins like at 10 pm and goes all night. Then they are given a phone call home to tell mom, "I am a U.S. Sailor" which of course they get emotional and ya know us moms..we do too!!
Ladies BS-21 starts at 8 P.M. central time. It goes until 8 A.M. central, then they are brought into a different building and this is when the capping ceremony happens. They are still being watched as they can actually take a personal "hit" if they fall asleep during or before this ceremony. Good luck to our boys in 369.
Kyle is not there but he will be in spirit as I will and will have my candle lit for them.
Okay thank you so much for the information. Cant wait to board the plan to Chicago I know I wont be able to sleep a wink knowing what the next day brings me :)
My son seems to love the Navy. He is doing well and adjusting well. I was concerned because he is not one for being yelled out or moving to quickly. By the way, is there a meet and greet being planned for PIR?
My son did not know when BST 21 will be yet. It is staggered, I believe 2 divisions per night, but not sure.
I think the 2 divisions per night is correct as well. I can't wait to find out when they all are so we can starting routing our recruits on even more those nights!
GO 369! isn't BS the 7th week??? blue candles ladies! and i will tell my SR he better not fall asleep or else!!hahahaha! they will do great im sure!!!
I have even given blue candles to my SR good friends...am getting everyone involved with the candles and also prayers that all 369 stay focused and ready for the next 25 days!!!
