The USS Abraham Lincoln will be deployed for Christmas and has given approval for the ship to receive pillowcases while on deployment.   That will be 5,000 or more strong.

The main postings for this project will be in the Lincoln group under the thread called "The Lincoln Family Love Pillowcase Project".

I will update here as well so you don't have to join the Lincoln group.

Let us know what you can do to help us get the ship done!

I love that angel Dori! thanks for posting them.
Sue, I am going to send the Command Staff pillowcases to you when they are done. Then you can send them along when you are ready. Let me know what to do with the other pillowcases I have here. I'm not sure if I'm to send them to you or to ME or the ship???
that's good about the command and thank you again for doing them!

how many do you have? if enough for a full box, we will have you mail them direct.

I know that it is taking a long time to get the ball rolling, but until the command says "do it", it won't get done. So we are patiently waiting for the green light.

Which for me is good, cause I still have pcs to make.
Sue and ME... whenever it is determined what units/divisions remain to be accounted for, the PCs from this neck of the woods can be allocated wherever to whomever. I will leave that up to you and/or ME to let me know. As always, it is probably best to send me an email to let me know.
Right now I have 25 plus the Command staff pcs.
Sue, I suspect I am going to have more pillowcases than room in the box but not enough for two boxes. Would you like for me to send the extras to someone to fill out a box? I plan to print off the note and pack up the pillowcases today. Then I will know where I stand.
I think we just need to wait and see what's up when the command gives us the additional information that we need. I hate to spend the money on shipping anywhere until we know for sure from the command.

there might be a small unit. so let's just hold.

Here are the pictures of the embroideries on the Command pillowcases. I didn't take pictures of the finished pcs because I didn't want to include the names of the Officers in the pictures
These are AMAZING!!!!!!!!! Great job! What embroidery package did you use? I have an embroidery machine too but don't have any Navy stuff. Just love them!!!!!
I get all my patterns online. There are at least two sites that have tons of military patterns. I run them on a Viking designer 1. The machine has to be able to run very large stitch count patterns.

I posted on picture twice and forgot to put this one here. This is actually my favorite one. You can actually see the tiny little airplanes on the top of the carrier.
Those are beautiful!!
