The USS Abraham Lincoln will be deployed for Christmas and has given approval for the ship to receive pillowcases while on deployment.   That will be 5,000 or more strong.

The main postings for this project will be in the Lincoln group under the thread called "The Lincoln Family Love Pillowcase Project".

I will update here as well so you don't have to join the Lincoln group.

Let us know what you can do to help us get the ship done!

I just got my first thank you note from one of Ryan's division mates... can't figure out how to paste in for all to read... can anyone help me out?

Jackie, I am so excited!!!!!  they got there.  whoohoo!  my sonny is still waiting for some more.  like 8 boxes.  he is on days now, so he's sleeping.  maybe tonight I will hear that news too.

highlight the message with your cusor.  right click on it then,  a menu should pop up, click copy.  close the message.

then come here, in the message box, right clikc again.  you will get a menu and hit paste.  that should do it.

so excited.

Sue, thats what I was trying to do but for some reason it won't let me paste it.  Never had that happen before.  Could it have something to do with how it was sent from the ship?  I'll have to keep playing around with it.

Ryan went to days too, so we have morning chats when I get up sometimes and its so cool!  He's just getting ready to get off work and I'm just getting up!  Love waking up to my son's notes!

Ill get it eventually even if I have to repaste it cause its just a great note.  I cried!  I got cruise pictures in the mail  today and this note.... what a day!!!!

Hey there Navy mom. It was nice to get that gift from you. I appreciate it a lot.  It is cool how you make them and to see all the different ones that you make. All the guys think that it is cool. now we have something to sleep with other than the navy issue ones that they have for us. I will keep mine for a very long time. Ryan is lucky to have you for a mom that is very supportive to him and his friends. I thank you again.

Very Respectfully

I cried when I read it!  What a sweet guy!

Some pictures of my son's squadron getting their pillowcases!

Awesome.........Thanks for sharing your pics!

Kim, I love the Nascar fabric.  I helped Sue with a pillowcase for someone who liked Nascar racing.  Everything I found was formula cars.  I was so disappointed but I did find one with racking flags.

The other pillowcases are great.  I love to see photos!!

Wow, great pictures and pillowcases.  :)

Love these pictures!  Your pillowcases are wonderful and it's great to see the sailors so happy to receive them.

Jackie,
I got one of the pillow cases you sent to Ryan. I just wanted to say Thank You. It means a great deal out here.

Sincerely

Did I say how much I'm loving this???? I think its bringing the Christmas Spirit to our home this year, cause its been missing!!!

We received the box of pillow cases you sent yesterday. I was giving the
Asian print one with the dragon on it, which went along with my Asian themed
rack. I wanted to take the time to personally thank you for your time and
resource it took  for you to touch the lives of the personnel in V-4
Division.

What a way to wake up in the morning.... more notes from our sailors!
