We have received no calls.  Only one letter.  We have not booked yet.  We are a little concerned about possibilities of grad date changing for a variety of reasons.  Will book within next week or two.    Thinking of flying into Milwaukee.  Where are you staying city wise?  Waukegan?

I booked the hotel because there is no cancellation fee before the 10th. We are staying in Waukegan. I think we are going to fly into Chicago O'Hare I am waiting to see if we get a letter this week with any more info. I will wait on the plane tickets for a little while. It is so hard to plan with no concrete info.

Hope we get mail this week!!

Hi,

I am staying there also, but considering changing to the other Marriott with an indoor pool because of my 10 year old. I have not received any calls just 2 letters. :) Hoping for mail or calls....Div 067 and 068 got calls yesterday....so I am hoping and praying our division is next. :)

Unless God blesses us mightily I will not be able to go.  We are in federal litigation for Copyright infringement and do not want to spend any money we don't have to because we just don't know what this will cost.  Pray for me ladies!!!!!
No phone calls yet.  Hoping for a letter today.  We are booked at the Quality Inn in Waukegan.  Navy PIR rate is $59.00 per night for 2 double beds.  They have a shuttle to the base.  Free Breakfast.  No pool but figure our SR will NOT want to swim anyway.  Flying Southwest into Midway on Thursday afternoon.  Non refundable fare but can be applied to another flight if we have to change dates.  Also can check two bags at no charge.  We are flying with our 2 month old grandson so we will need to check baggage.
Thanks for the info. I was thinking of going into Midway too on Southwest. Do you have to ask for the tickets that can be changed or is it automatic with all Southwest tickets? I am probably going to book tickets this weekend.

Haven't received any letters this week (1st & only letter was Last Thursday.) --- OK, it's been another week! ...would like more inf. also about Grad.  When do we find out if our recruit has to leave Fri., Sat., or has the weekend sorta free to spend with us?  It's hard to make definite plans; we're still trying to see if we have enough money to go--- I heard flight ticket prices went lower--- is that so?  I'm hoping for a Phone Call sometime soon, probably like everyone else here!

Have a good afternoon ladies! ... wishing you peace and patience while we wait!

Try Southwest Wanna get away, online booking is like $99 one way.  Others have posted flying out of DFW Frontier is real low.  Good luck.  Don't know if I am going or not.  Even with flight/hotel/car at under $500 may not be able to do it.  Praying for me and any other families that are struggling to find the funds.
Got two letters today. (12/31 and 01/02) He sounds much much more upbeat in these two. Said he got an extra day to write because of the holiday. Said he got his haircut, bcg's and they had issued their NWUs. He said he passed his Physical Fitness Assessment and be able to advance if he did well on the written test. He said that he had met a couple of people that he would be going to A school with but didn't give any names. He said they would be having inspection on Tuesday and then their first test was on Wednesday (yesterday I guess). He also said he had no way of knowing when he would be allowed to call. So I guess we just have to continue to wait patiently on the call.
So glad you got some letters mdubtxmom.  Nothing today, husband already called to let me know.  I write him about every 3 days, I only hope he's gotten them.  I so miss him.  Mine is older, 24, and has been out of the house for 6 years, but we always text, call, Skype.  I miss him.
We have not gotten a call yet but got 3 letters today!!  He sounded good, says he has learned to keep his mouth shut, there seems to be a few who are making it difficult for everyone, but he did not want to say much, said he was told not discuss alot of details, don't want him in trouble, so as long as he says he is ok I will leave well enough alone.  He did say would get to call home soon....how soon???

No calls yet. So, talk about different RDC rules! Angies from 068 said her questionnaires from her daughter were a hoot, and to definately send them. I got a letter from my son today (I told you I would share results from the questionnaires I sent him)  "Uh Yah, and by the way, my RDC said you can't send me any questionnaires or anything from NavyForMoms, its stupid, but that's way they say. I'm missing home a lot, I miss you...I miss the comforts of an actual house. I can't wait to see you in February".  Yay son!!!!! It was so good to hear that from him. I guess he'll get flak when he gets the questionnaire I mailed yesterday. oops.

Oh yeah, he's eating well. He likes the choices and he says he's gaining weight (which is what he needs to do) and he got his wisdom teeth pulled, which was really painful.
