Hi Yedi's mom!  I just learned from my son that he will not be joining the Newport News for their deployment.  Things were not working out so he withdrew his name.  He has classes he needs to take so he will do that instead.  I hope you son and his crew have a successful and easy deployment.  I will be praying for you too!
My son will be joining the USS Miami for his first underway in late February. He just finished his nuke training and is an MM.
Oh well, I was hoping he'd be on the USS Springfield so I would know a mom for that boat.  But they'll be at the same base.
Hi all my son will be graduating A school Feb.10th , he will be stationed in Norfolk,Virginia, his sub is USS Scranton.
Hello Siscarrie, my son is on the USS Scranton as well.
Our son Diego, aka Kyle, recently started Nuke school and will be going sub when he completes the program. He isn't sure which he will go for, but I am sure when the time comes he and his new wife will make the choice that is best for them.
Welcome Sharon... Remember me. Jerry's mom. I met you at the meet and greet at PIR....
My son is on the USS San Francisco, does any one else has any sailor on the same Sub?
Anyone with a sailor on the USS Olympia?  I know 1 other mom on here but would love to find others from the boat.
My son Brett is STS on USS City of Corpus Christi in Guam.

Jan,

I saw your post on 2/1/11 that you have a son on the USS Corpus Christi. Would you mind letting me know when they get back to port?

The reason I’m asking is because our son was fresh out of the nuclear program and assigned to the USS Buffalo in Guam. He arrived there on 12/17/10 and then took his life on 12/21/10. We have been told that on his last night he was seen at a club in town with a sailor from the Corpus Christi. We would like to contact that sailor just to find out what our son’s state of mind was at that time. No foul play is suspected and we are not trying to get anyone in trouble, but we’re just trying to get a little more information because this all came as a huge shock. Do you know if your son heard talk about this event?

Any help you could give would be greatly appreciated.

So sorry for your loss Lynelle.
