OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.

In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Oh my gosh this is going to be so beautiful!!!! It is bringing tears to my eyes ! I so badly want a embroidery machine. I love all of the hand stitching on Utah too !

I have a quote from John Muir I will send to you and that is what you can tell him my message to him is.

Did everyone send individual cards because I think if there is time I would like to send you one from me?

I didn't send a card. I was lucky to get the quilt squares done. haha

is it cards or facts about the states? to facts in a card haha? I can confuse myself really well.

Sue, I put in many facts about the states. I started with "America the Beautiful" because as I began, I thought about the song, especially since my states really pertained to it. New Mexico (like Arizona) definitely has the "purple majesties" and Nebraska and Kansas have the "amber waves of grain." Maine represents one part of the "sea to shining sea." I included all the lyrics. Did you know there are eight verses? This third one

O beautiful for heroes proved
In liberating strife.
Who more than self their country loved
And mercy more than life!
America! America!
May God thy gold refine
Till all success be nobleness
And every gain divine!

I told Tim that I felt it applied to him. I did tell him about the time that we went camping in New Mexico with our sons. They were in two tents, each with a friend. One heard a scratching outside their tent and thought it was the other two playing a trick on them. When they opened the tent door, imagine their surprise when they found they were facing a skunk!

Really, I managed to fill several pages with idle chatter.

I am SO impressed with all the creativity that I see in the squares. It is so much fun to see what each has included. I love the covered wagon. I thought one would be good for Nebraska because the wagon trains crossed the prairie so much that you can even today you can see the deep ruts made by the wheels.

I also feel that the squares represent the rich diversity of our country.
