I have not been doing much of anything these last few days but mope and check online.  I have read everything on this site since I found it, just about 5 days ago.  Why I haven't made the search earlier, I don't know.  It would have made his leaving for BC less traumatic.  But then again, I have been in denial until we exchanged our goodbye hugs on Monday...

I would love to hear from others whose loved ones share the same ship/div.  Mine will go to Nuke school later on and I'm so hungry for more news and info.

Good thing!!!!
Hi, My son is also in the nuke program. I found this site yesterday and only got approved today. We bought our tickets a few weeks ago and can't wait for graduation. His letters went from OMG! What did I do! To wow, this is really cool. I have been on You Tube watching all kinds of videos. From boot camp to graduation. I only wish we had more time to spend with him before he goes off to "A" School. We plan on spending the time with him at the airport before he departs.

Welcome!

Hi, Joann! Welcome aboard.  Glad to hear that your son is happier at BC.  When it's hard on them, it's hard for us, too, since we can't do much from a distance.  And with your son in the nuke program also, it looks like a few of us here will be hanging out for the next year or so.  Glad you found us!

Does anyone know if I can mail my son's contact lenses to him for PIR? Will he be able to wear them? I don't know where to go to find an answer. Thanks!

I'm not sure he can have them until after graduation.
I was just reading on the RTC website on facebook that yes they can have them.  You may want to go to that site and under the discussions ask your questins.  RTC has benn very good about answering questions there.
Just ordered my division shirts!!!!!  You better do it right away if you haven't ~ she told me that they like to have 3 weeks, but they haven't printed ours yet ~ so she took my order and said they would be here just prior to graduation!!!!!
