Hi my son will also graduate May 13th....Glad to find a place for support, questions, and answers.

Hello Mom2kyfan is your son ship 7 division 170?  This is a great site, lots of great info and support.
Yes he is....He is one of the older ones in the group.  He turned 25 in March.  He seems to be very up beat in his letters.
My son is 22, he was afraid he was going to be the oldest but the more I read I realize there are a number of "old" SRs.  I was surprised the number that are married.
my sons 26 finished college had a good job but wanted more i'm so proud of him he got engaged. before he left and is planning a new years eve wedding alot to look foward too..  how many are going to a school in pens. florida?
My son will be stay in GL for A school.  Wow a New Years Eve wedding very romantic, is he concerned he will be deployed or does he have a long A school.  My son's A school is only 8-12 weeks so he will be done by the time the summer is over.

jdmom he's nervous about not being able to get leave for the wedding his A school is 17 weeks. so we hold our breath LOL  and pray that it works out for them

Mom2kyfan my son said he meet a couple of guys around his age .congrats to your son on his pending engagement !

I think your son may be the one my son talked about in the letter.  Said he felt like an old man but there was actually one or two older than him.  My son too graduated from college, however he could not find a good enough job.  My son is informally engaged, buying the ring when he goes to A school, but so far we don't have a date.  Probably next fall but we will see.  My son's A school I think is in MS but not sure, our recruiter was a bit wishy washy and some things have not panned out like they should have.  All in all however, great experience.
Welcome!  My son just turned 25 while at bootcamp, have not received any letters yet but so glad to hear they are sounding upbeat which probably helps each other!

In my son's letter it was comical him calling the 22 and under crew, "kids".  My son played college sports and was very use to discipline so he fusses about "kids" all the time.  LOL  His brother is 20 and he fusses about his lack of discipline all the time.  I really don't remember being 25 and thinking I was old, heck 55 these days isn't too old LOL

No calls yet :-( .  Was REALLY hoping we might get one. It's 10 pm est Sunday nite-don't think it's going to happen. I am bumm because next Sunday and following week we won't be able to take any calls at all (again we will be out of country) I think some of the other divisions has been able to call. Hope I get a letter this week.
I was also hoping we'd get a phone call today but nothing.  Here's hoping all SR's got to write today!!!  I can just see all of us running to the mailbox on Wednesday and Thursday!
