I received a second survey letter back from my son today, they are so fun abd he adds some great comments to the circled ones, it really does make us laugh and hopefully him too.  Well we are down to 2 weeks, it is so exciting!!!
Happy Easter to all and God Bless and give our SRs the strength to see this through!
@jdmom   We have made plans to stay in a rental cottage about 20 miles N of GL.  Trying to find the least inexpensive way to visit and spend time with our sailor.  We may, however, need to stop at Ramada and join in the meet and greet with other parents/families.  not sure what our boy will want to do with his time.  We're hoping just R&R and catching up with us.
We are also planning on going to the meet & greet provided we don't have any delays with our flight.  This time of year weather is always a factor.
Some where along the way I have missed when and where it is. Can someone please let me know?  And could you tell me where to find the survey so I can it to my son?  Thanks!

The meet & greet is at the Ramada on Thursday evening.  If you go over to the events on the right and click either next month it should come up or view all and go to the second page it has all the details.

As far as the surveys there is a discussion on the boot camp group that is just surveys some are funny.

I just sent another one today since my son hasn't sent the first one.

did anyone find out yet when our sailors battlestation will be ?  i hope its next week and not the week of pir..

I am with you I hope BS is before Mother's Day...wouldn't that be the best Mother's day present! Well other then hearing their voice on Mother's Day.

FYI div 171 IS the week of PIR my daughter called today :-) and said hers is Mon/Tues - so that MAY (key word may) mean your division would be Thur/Fri - since they would be div 169/170 (according to the Battle Stations group). What a great mothers day gift.  Good luck to all the divisions- and see you on 5/13
So happy to get a letter today, has anyone heard if they have earned their last flag.  My son said they had earned all but one and he hoped that by the time I got the letter they would have earned it.  It was so funny my husband noticed he kept using "we" instead of "I", I am thinking that is the way the Navy likes it:)  Mentioned Battlestations but not when they would have it, has anyone else heard?

So I just talked with a friend whose brother is in RTC.  Her brother called a couple of hours ago to tell them that he is officially a sailor.  He finished battlestations this morning.  His PIR is scheduled for next friday.  I don't know if this helps but if the situation is consistant our boys battlestations is likely to be the end of next week.

Jdmom, I love that your son is using "we" and I am comforted that his "we" includes my son.  The only way they are going to get through it is together!

We got 4 letters today!  He sounds  great!  He told me his division on 3 flags plus their division flag.  They are going to make them tshirts of their division flag.  It sounds like they are doing very well.

My husband's letter was dated the 21st.  It said this week they would be doing fire fighting and gas chamber training this week.  It is probably all over by now.  Glad I didn't know about it before!
