Yeah, that's kind of what I figured...I got my call on Tuesday, 31min31sec!  I wonder if some of these guys were in recovery from the wisdom teeth thing, so they missed placing their call. I know the guy on watch missed making his call. He had just replaced my son for watch, so my son got to call. Weird to feel so elated, but guilty. ugh. My SR said he offered to call the guy's mom, but the guy was stoic and said that he was fine. I think they are already working as a team and caring for each other!  I know the guy's last name but can't say it in case he is SEAL/SWCC.

My son said they got fitted for their dress uniforms Tuesday. I had heard they get their grad pictures taken around week 4 so I told him what to order. He said he is getting fat because the food is good and they don't run at all. Not good prep for preBUDs, but what are you gonna do?

We got our call on tuesday as well. He said he was still happy to be there but it's definitely tougher than anything he's done. The phone he was using was crappy. It kept breaking up. He kept saying. Mom are you there. I just kept saying I'm here and I love you
I can't wait to see him. He said he has lost weight but eats slot and he said he passed his first PT and actually dropped almost a minute from his run so that's good. I was so excited to hear from him I forgot half the things I wanted to ask. Lol
My son said his first PST went well too.  He actually added 45sec to his swim and run, but his scores were still elevated so he will get the $2000 bonus...probably will be based on the final PST scores though. His phone was def staticy but it never really broke up. I actually wrote down the entire conversation right afterward becuase I am so bad at remembering convos. It was almost 3 pages single-spaced! My family and friends that have been writing really appreciated that I did that and sent it to them!

Happy Mothers Day to all the moms and soon to be moms out there. I heard that some SRs were able to make phone calls, I hope some of were lucky enough to hear from your sons!

Anyone hearing from our SR's. Would love to know when battle stations are. Can you believe we only have 24 days left.
I'm not getting any details either from the two letters I have rec'd. He has sent some letters to family members and he tells stories, but nothing about what he is doing, i.e., learning about guns, or first aid, or when battlestations is. Maybe its due to the division they are in? or maybe just our sons in particular. hopefully one mom on here will get some scoop!
I didn't get much info either.  Everytime I asked a question, he told me he "wasn't aloud to discuss it."  He did say he'll get another phone call at the half way point-whatever that means.........patiently waiting : )
got mail today, and still no answer to m battle stations questions! maybe next time. :l
I received a letter from my husband today. They have been doing a lot of Dive MO all last week and have been pretty busy learning to march. He said they have a written test coming up this week so they always have to study in their free time. He said they have been told that they will be able to make phone calls on June 1. He didn't say for how long or what time. So he advised me not to wait by the phone all day, because it's a very good possibility that it could be taken away if they mess up during training. He hasn't said anything about Battle Stations, but he did say that the RDCs told them they were all going to be informed more about it later this week. If I'm not mistaken, their firefighting training should start next week as well.
Thanks NavyWife! Love to hear the details. I wonder if the June 1 call is the 'I'm a sailor call".  We shall see!

that's what I'm thinking its going to be for! I hope it will be!

I just got a phone call from my husband. He got assigned his new job and is very excited about it! His leg is healing well and is off lite duty now! He said the division will be having a test on Wednesday. They also have P.I. this week which is very important for them all to pass so they don't have to do I.T. Thursday and Friday they are going to be practicing S.A.M.T (small arms marksmanship training.) They are also working on the design of their division flag. My husband advised me that they have a busy week ahead of them and weren't going to be able to write much until down time on Sunday.
