Choose your Username.  For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either).  Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username.  While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Make sure to read our Community Guidelines and this Navy Operations Security (OPSEC) checklist - loose lips sink ships!

Join groups!  Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself!  Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility. 

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.  

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

This is for all of us who have recruits graduating from RTC on July 8th, 2011. Here we can all support each other through the long separation and prepare to see our US Navy Sailors for the first time after RTC.

I know this might sound like a stupid question but do all the division graduate at the same time at the same ceremony? How many sailors are in one division? That seems like alot of sailors. The Gym must be huge.
yes. they graduate at the same time. Usually its 75-80 SR= sailor recruit per division, We have 10 division PIR 7/8. So roughly about 800 SRs. Then again, some SRs are held back due to health, academic or not passing the PT,etc. hOPE THIS HELPS..

I am going to join your group and post the photos from this OCT PIR. but my son didn't go through PIR so I feel somewhat stupid trying to sound informed! I am glad you are so understanding. :)
Oh, i forgot your son is an officer right? I think you mentioned that before. Hmmm... Or maybe i've seen that post somewhere.

My hubby is in Div 219 =D I have my daily count down going!! Miss him terribly, but I am SO proud!
