Yes Yea for you Sam's Mom! Who knows they may be in same ship! I'm kind of at a loss now. I roam around on the other sites but keep coming back to this one. Y'all have been so nice and kind. Hope we all can stay connected.
I am now waiting as well my son went Meps on  06/06/2011Monday noonish but didn't leave till this morning for GL.He got there noonish  text me  here and there though the day not nearly enough for me  Then got the call  7:14 Our sons probably on the same bus Wow  I like the fact that I have connected with a Mom's son who  arrived at the same time as my son. Also someone to wait with. this site is great.

I'm glad you got your call early too. It helps to know they are okay before you lay down to sleep. Starting the letters to him but will wait to put them in envelopes so I can keep them in order.

I know what you mean lisarobin, I don't know what to do with myself now. Yesterday was kind of fun, my other son and I used a flight tracker to watch the plane from Philly to Chicago, he is so proud of his brother.  Felt like we were stalking him but I needed to know he was there safe.  lol

theraysmom - who knows, they may wind up together.  I find that amazing.

That is funny about the flight tracker. I would have probably done the same thing but we were driving home the whole time he was flying so that kept me busy. :.)
Hi MidwestMom(Ship12/Div225) - my daughter left for BC on June 7th.  Please add me to the June calendar.  Thanks.

Welcome Edeli! My son left on the 7th as well.

Hello Mom4life and ElleBee !!!! YIKES WE ARE DAYS AWAY !! My son ships out on the 14th , we just made our reservations for the hotel he is staying at the night before he leaves (13th ) just so we wont miss the final swearing in ( we are 2 hrs away from MEPS) He is very excited and ready to go he has been in DEP for 11 1/2 months now so he is very prepared for boot . For his last DEP meeting the recruters threw him a BBQ with all the other recruts that was so nice they had our whole family come and said very encouraging words to him and complimented us on a job well done for raising such a fine young man , that was so nice to hear but we were just regular parents wanting the best for our kids. I am looking forward to this journey with you girls and thank God for this web site it will make things way easier to deal with . We know he made the best choice for his future and am very proud as im sure everyone here is also. So now with these final days we are packing his room up getting the box ready for what he wants us to ship to him when he gets to A school thats going to be rough for me , im going to leave all of this Navy posters up on the walls in his room I cant get myself to take them down just yet . Ok I know im long winded sorry for that I guess it is just nervousness coming thru , take care and looking forward to hearing from you  : )

Hello, HowiesMom, Wow are boy's are heading out on the same day, I'm dropping Andrew off on Monday night and saying good-bye and from what I understand he wiil be staying with his recruit overnight for his initial journey on tuesday the 14th. I went food shopping yesterday and as silly as this sounds started crying knowing next week I wouldn't be picking up his favorite things at the supermarket. Wow the emotions we go through........Andrews excited and ready for his journey as well. Thanks also for reminding me to get some things packed to be sent to him when he gets to A school!!  I will learn with the journey from you all and yes we have so much to be proud about!!! Let's just stay in touch to just give support and strengh to each other, best wishes to Howie!!!
