Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.

Here is a calendar to keep track of when our loved ones leave for BC June 2011. Stole the idea from the Leaving in March group! I tried to go back through the site to get dates from those posted. Help me keep it updated! :)

I'm glad you got your call early too. It helps to know they are okay before you lay down to sleep. Starting the letters to him but will wait to put them in envelopes so I can keep them in order.
I know what you mean lisarobin, I don't know what to do with myself now. Yesterday was kind of fun, my other son and I used a flight tracker to watch the plane from Philly to Chicago, he is so proud of his brother. Felt like we were stalking him but I needed to know he was there safe. lol
theraysmom - who knows, they may wind up together. I find that amazing.
Welcome Edeli! My son left on the 7th as well.
Hello, HowiesMom, Wow are boy's are heading out on the same day, I'm dropping Andrew off on Monday night and saying good-bye and from what I understand he wiil be staying with his recruit overnight for his initial journey on tuesday the 14th. Wow the emotions we go through........Andrews excited and ready for his journey as well. Thanks also for reminding me to get some things packed to be sent to him when he gets to A school!! I will learn with the journey from you all and yes we have so much to be proud about!!! Let's just stay in touch to just give support and strengh to each other, best wishes to Howie!!!
