This discussion is for those who have an SR in Ship 04, DIV 820 and 821, PIR 10/14/11. These are brother divisions and will be spending a lot of time together from what I understand. Remember OPSEC rules and for security purposes...no pictures of your SR or names of SR. God bless you all!

My son will be graduating with this group. So excited to be able to fly to IL. for his PIR.
Hi everyone. I just joined this group. It's nice to have a place to read and share our thoughts since we are all in the same boat (eeerrrr . . . situation). My sister-in-law's 3rd grade classes all wrote letters to our kids in this division. My son wrote and said they were hilarious and that everyone has enjoyed reading them and wants to write the classes back. I would love to read the letter. Thought this would make you smile. <3
Welcome- this group/page has been a great source of support. :)
That is just awesome I'm sure my son enjoyed reading them. I'll have to ask him about them. Thank You!
Remember to read the OPSEC guidelines and rules. I don't think we are to have pictures of our SR and names of our SR who are going into SPECOP for security reasons. That is how I understand the guidelines. If I am wrong on that, please let me know. Just a heads up for those of you whose SR is going into that.
Good...I am as new to this as you. We will learn, and pray together ! :) As far as the letter, I think once the person in that division or ship, not sure which it is, is trained for the mail (gov job) I think they can get letters daily, except for Sundays and holidays, but the way I understand it from others on the site, is that it could be a couple of weeks before they actually start to get the mail because of the person having to be trained. Again...remember I am as new to this as you are! Feel free to friend me, so we can talk more!
Okay, feel so stupid to ask, gotta be pretty easy but how do you friend people? I thought I saw someone explain this but can't find it now.
Julie, I sent you a friend request. The only way I know how is you try to send a message and it says you have to be a friend, so it will allow you to send a friend request! There is probably another way, but I am pretty inept at all of this! Don't feel stupid. The only way we will learn, is to learn it together and to ask! :)
Don't worry, this site confused us all at first! I am a mom whose son PIR'd several months ago from an 800 div. As far as the friend thing goes, just click on the person's pic and when it goes to their page , there is a choice for Add As A Friend under their pic on their homepage. : )
Which Spec ops job r ur SR's training for? The 800 div's are all Spec Ops and All male Divisions but there are several jobs in spec ops...EOD, SWCC, SEAL, Air Rescue...just wondering who is doing what.
Feel free to ask questions, I'll try to help. Always remember "no news is Good news!" especially in the 800 div's as they are harder on these guys and they don't always get extra phone calls like some other div do. Hang in There!
