Hope he had good things to say about my son. LOL.

Wish I would get a "real" letter from him, but know they must be very busy. At least I got the "form" letter with a brief couple of sentences from him.

Where part of the country are you and yours from ?

I'm in the Minneapolis, Minnesota area.

Oh he did he said "He's Cool" LOL he's excited about his DIV, he said everyone is Cool. We are from Riverside, CA. You should be receiving a letter soon. I guess we are all receiving our letters this week if not by next week.

Thanks for telling me that. So good to hear even a little tidbit about my son. He is what they refer to as an older recruit, so was hoping he would fit in with all the others. Not sure if there are any other older recruits in their DIV.

Isn't it amazing that we can share info across the country about our SR.

Are you attending PIR?

I Know right. I am attending PIR. I booked all my stuff today. Im just scared of my options if I do everything in October. So I just played it safe.
BlondFoxe...we're in central Texas, just north of the fires that everyone's talking about.  We'll be headed for Great Lakes a couple days before, as we're driving...all 1123 miles of it!!  :-)  My SR is currently the one doing the laundry.  I hope everyone's stuff is getting clean!  *lol*  I'm still "learning the lingo", but hopefully I won't mess up!  Kinda bummed they only get mail once a week, but better than nothing at all!!  We've all been writing and sending pictures and stamps!  It's a huge relief to find the other moms in the same "boat" as me.  :-)
Hi blondefox and welcome to the group.  My SR is also in this div.  We have not made travel [plans yet but will be soon.  Can not wait to meet everyone at the meet and greet Thursday nite.
I got a letter yesterday from my son.  YEA!
Finally Received a letter from my son yesterday!!!
Could you guys give me some more info about the meet and greet on Thursday night?

PIR 10/14/11 Meet and Greet at Ramada Inn Waukegan

Can not wait to meet everyone.

Hey ladies - just found this site and joined.  Our grandson is on this ship.  We will be attending PIR on 10/14 and will try to make the meet and greet on the 13th - (we are flying in that day).

Still have not gotten a "real" letter, so today I am sending out a fill in the blank type questionaire.  Hope that get a response!
