My husband is in this division :) Hope they are doing well. Does your son know his rate yet?

My son is to be a Nuke, although he wasn't certain if he was going machinist mate or electricians mate.  Beyond that, I don't have a clue what he will be up to after bootcamp ;)  I do know he will be fine....his note on the back of his form letter said [bootcamp] wasn't very fun, but he planned on finishing.  Very much my son - understated and with a dry sense of humor.  I've heard 951 is a special division....can't wait to find out why my boy is here....other than the Nuke, I can't think of any reason (altho they are all special, of course);)
Hm I wonder as well. How did you hear it was a special division? My husband will be an HM, he goes to Texas after basic.
Recruiter.  What's an HM?  Mine goes to South Carolina
Oh that is interesting! I never heard that before. An HM is a hospital corpsman, basically a medic. I can't wait to see him. I feel like it has been forever already. I guess its just hard when you are used to being with someone every day.
I did ok until day 7...then I wanted to call them and tell them to send him back!  BTW, I work for an ambulance company as a dispatcher.  I have a lot of respect for the medics.  I think I saw something on this site about 900 Div being special, but can't find it at the moment....
Let me know if you find it. My husband was the CO during his time at DEP maybe that had something to do with it. He also entered as an E3. Not sure. I work in the medical field as well so I am happy he is in the same field as me.

Just found the group on this site (I joined).  Just glancing through, it sounds informative....
