For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

I'm trying to not get very excited because when you get excited the time just seems to go so slow. However, this is my kid and how can I not be excited!!!!! I can't wait. Thankfully my dad works for Enterprise so he is reserving a car for me to drive up which is so wonderful. Sure will help on expenses. Can't wait to meet you as well.

Cant wait to meet everyone. It must be so nice to have gone through this once before. I hate not knowing things its like the first everything with your first child. Where are you staying Leah and where is your child going to A school? I hope everyone else is getting excited(I know you are) I just cant believe my son is writing his siblings(brother and sister) telling them he loves them and misses them. I just want to hug him

We are staying at Ramada, they really do a great job with the Navy families. The meet and greet is very nice the night before. He will be staying in Chicago, I think he wanted to go to Pensacola like his brother, but his school is in Chicago. The transformation will shock you!! They turn into men and they finally realize how much family means to them. A school can become really tough on them, especially anyone who is aircrew. Training can be hard, but they have a lot more freedom. They should be getting ready for the gas chamber and final testing, then it is on to Battle stations....A VERY long and emotional night for them!! Graduation is so amazing, it will take your breath away when those bay doors open and you see them for the first time!! That is still my favorite momement!! If I can answer any questions just let me know!!

Oh that sounds so wonderful! My son is staying in great lakes as well for OS he also wrote me and told me he will be on the search and rescue team on his ship I dont know if I should be happy or be selfish as a worried mom and be sad. I guess Im just happy that hes excited about this. We are staying at the Mariott because I heard they had 2 bedroom rooms and my sons girlfriend is coming so her and my daughter will share a room. Hope to meet you

Got a long letter from Tyler, granted it was over a few days but it was a long letter. Said him and his bunkmate have been doing push-ups together. He also said that they found out on Sept 13th that they flagged test 1 (which is good). He said that in order to get flagged the division had to get a 4.0 out of a 5.0 from every person and that only one person in the division got a 5.0. Tyler also said that it would be a good idea to bring a jacket or sweatshirt because it is very cold there in the mornings. He says that their Hell Week started on Monday the 19th, Tuesday the 20th they were set to do simulation fire and on Wednesday the 21st they were to do live fire.
It's so funny because most of his letter talks about PT in one form or another. I never thought I would hear him so excited about doing PT. The funniest part of his letter is the last sentence that reads "Well I better shine my boots for my inspection Tuesday". It's hard to believe that he even cares about that since he's a "whatever" kind of kid. This letter really brought a smile to my face.
