My son is in this division. Yeahhh! Glad to see he is not alone. LOL Left for BC on Sept. 21st and I am dying to hear from him. Finally got the form letter monday.
We got the Form letter on Tuesday but still haven't gotten an actual letter from him. He left for bootcamp on September 22nd though. we're from FL where are you guys from?
Well it seems their timeframes are on point. Lol I am praying that they got to write letters this past sunday. We are in maryland. But I have family in FL. My mom lives in Palm Bay (by Melbourne) and I have cousins in west palm beach and hollywood.
I'm just dying to get a letter! We've been together for almost 5 years and ive never gone a single day without speaking to him and im going crazy! I'm so happy i found someone with a SR in the same ship and division! I live in Seminole (St. Pete/Tampa) area and Palm Bay is about 3 hours away from me, im on the Gulf Coast. Let me know if you get a letter so i know when i should be expecting one!
I can't imagine how u must feel. I've been with my husband for 15 years. There is a big difference between your partner and your child. As a matter of fact, my husband use to live in palm harbor in Clearwater years ago. Now we live in southern md on the chesapeake bay, but in the near future will be heading south to myrtle beach or Fl.

Me, me, me!! :)

I am really excited to connect with other families with SR's in my son's division.  It makes me feel a little closer.  Have any of you received any "real" mail yet?  I loved getting even a few lines with his handwriting but am ready for a letter that gives more info - can't wait to hear from him!

How are all you mom's doing?

No real mail yet here either. And no phone calls yet. Figure everyday is one step closer to one or the other. Going nuts waiting. Hope it doesn't feel as long to our SRs as it does me. 2 1/2 weeks feels like 6 months.

I MISS MY BABY BOY!!! (I know, what a whimp I am!!! And he's not exactly a baby anymore.)  But still I miss him like crazy.  We are very close and not hearing from him or knowing how he's doing is driving me nuts.  I was hoping maybe they would be allowed to call this past Sunday, but (sigh) guess not.  I hope he's getting the letters we have been sending... we live in Florida and the form letter we received said it would take 5 to 10 days (depending on where letters were mail from) for mail to reach recruits... even if it were overnighted.  Jeez, 10 days!!  It would be quicker if they were delivered by donkey!!

Still waiting on a letter also. We live in Sturgis Michigan which is about 3 hours from Great Lakes so we figure a letter shouldn't take so long to get here.We are figuring they either didn't get to write or he just didn't write. Still waiting on that first call also. The waiting is making us a little crazy. My daughter misses her SR so bad, They have only been married a year and she is really struggling to push on. We felt better when we started finding all of you with SR's in the same group. Hopefully we will all get that letter or call soon.
Wow you guys live close to there! Let us know as soon as you get a letter so we can expect one! Im dying waiting! Its been 16 days since he left and it feels like 6 weeks! Im relly happy that we found eachother on here, it makes everything a little easier :) I hope more people with SR in ship12 div 4 show up!
Well we got a letter today and we were so excited but when we opened it we were so sad, It was just about my daughter getting her ID card and insurance. How disappointing! So we are still waiting. I was telling my daughter about you and we are hoping we get the chance to meet at the PIR. We signed up to attend the meet and greet. Her name is also Courtney and her and her husband have been together for around 5 years also. They have never been unable to talk and it is killing her not to talk to him. He came to live with us soon after they started dating so that is why he is like my own son. he has become very important to us over the years. She wrote to him and was telling him about you, She thought it would be cool if your SR and hers would be talking about their Courtney's. :)  I will let you know as soon as we get something....anything!
HOW COOL!! what are the odds?!?! ill write him and let him know also! id love to connect with her on facebook, could you send me a personal message with her facebook info so i can add her and talk to her more?!
