Yeah, got a letter today!  My daughter seems stressed out, but also excited... if that makes sense.  She says the food is good, and time is passing pretty quickly.

That's nice that there are families who will adopt them for Thanksgiving.  I was wondering what they would do.

My daughter talked about the food also :)
I was wondering what they were going to do on Thanksgiving. We'll be there the week after thanksgiving. I can't wait to see my son!!!
My daughter has A-school in San Antonio (she is an HM), has anyone else heard when they will be flying out? My daughter says several of her shipmates are also HM's!
My son is going to SA also.  I have no idea yet when they are leaving.  If I find out anything I will let you know.  And ou the same-----I am fixing to send a letter with a few questions about that ---if he answers anything I wil let you know.
My daughter said they still don't know anything and do not expect to be told until graduation. :-(

I don't know when they fly out, but my daughter will also be going to San Antonio. ( She wrote that there are other HM's in her division.)  We feel very lucky because we are only a few hours from San Antonio.  Where are you from?

We are not close to there, but are in the DC area. I will try and see her but just knowing I can pick up the phone and text andf call to check on her will be great!
I got a phone call!!! I was so happy to hear her voice and she was so happy to hear me she was crying and it was hard to even talk. She said it was a bad day today for her but otherwise she is good and making lot's of friends. She laughed about how the others were saying they can not believe their mom's joined Navy for Mom's and then opened my letter telling her I had too!! She is sick like they all when there and worried about her PRT test. I thought I would feel so much better with a call but I just miss her so much more and wish I could be there with cough drops and some NyQuil...  I miss her.
Tory'sMom- Sharon---Congrats on the phone call----Just think 35 more days and we will say our kido's....Can't wait---Hey did your daughter tell you that they won a Flag for there Division...  Since all of them passed the PT test they won a Flag for that.  I do believe if I remeber right at PIR there group will be carring that flag and any other that they might win...My son said the same thing he wouldn't know if he was a grad and go and what time they would leave or not.  Wonder  since the A school is closed from 12-18 thru 1-2...will they get Liberty and get to come home????If you find out anything let me know!!!  Again CONGRATS!!!!

Thank you!!! She did not say anything... so they all passed? She is freaking out about is not passing her PRT (the running portion) and pretty worried about it. Do you know when they earned the flag?

I was thinking the same thing about Christmas... let them be off and let them come home. Hopefully they do not make them hold over in Great Lakes until after the holidays. Thanksgiving with out her will be hard but Christmas too??? I really hope they are allowed liberty.

Tory'sMom---he talked like it was the first part of the week he know is going into handguns and firearms--he was worried about that....told him he would be fine.  He also said he / his friend was chosen to be Ship Staff---worried me so I called his recruiter---he said that is a good thing---it's a leadership role....was worrited when he said him and his friend was asked thought maybe he was in trouble....glad he wasn't...

Not sure about Xmas but, I want to  have him home for xmas..
