For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Please note! Changes to this guide happened in October 2017. Tickets are now issued for all guests, and all guests must have a ticket to enter base. A separate parking pass is no longer needed to drive on to base for parking.

This is our first move, we are moving on sat! and still havnt got the movers set up! what do i do?????

You rent a truck because those movers are set up weeks, if not months, in advance! When did you start the process? Have you talked to anyone official? Nothing will happen over the holiday weekend.
Get a Power of Attorney for a family member who can oversee your move, because you aren't going to be there to do it. Is everything sorted and ready? House or apartment clean and ready for a pack out?

I dont have money to rent a truck. So i was thinking that we were going to wait untill we get to tx and sit down with people who can he help us, and just wait for our furniture. We will get an ir mattress

so who will be there when the movers get there to move your stuff? That person will need a POA....
Where you married before he got orders to his command? If not they will only move a smaller weight of stuff...how much stuff do you have to move?
WHY didn't he get this set up before? It can take months for the movers to get set up and be at your place to get your stuff.
As soon as he gets to his command he needs to talk to his sponsor about helping him set up his move.

I have poa, so we could just make a trip back down to fl i guess. We dont have a lot of stuff..,we did get married vefore he got his orders, and he couldnt do anything because he is in school. We can wait i guess.

Yes one of you needs to be there when the movers show up..also if it isn't him, the person needs a POA.
It is either you wait, or you move your gear yourself...and if you do it yourself..you need to make sure it is done correctly and the paper work is kept or he won't get the money back.... correct way..weight the truck before the items are loaded, after loaded, keep all receipts for everything you pay for.
