Choose your Username.  For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either).  Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username.  While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups!  Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself!  Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility. 

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.  

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed.  Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.

**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.

**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:

In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Hi there..my son arrived at GL on December 6th...got the "im here" phone call...no box yet...just waiting...anyone else have a loved one leave for GL on the 6th..I would love to find a few of us to keep in touch and swap stories of their progression...take care

Just got the form letter in today's mail.

A quick update  to my earlier post above..I got his form letter with his address..also a quick scribble on the back from him...I cried and cried...I thought I had been doing ok but for some reason this little hand written note hit a raw nerve...the address that his recruiter gave us was a little different than the form letter..the differences were  "Recruit training command"... the 4 digits following the zip code..and his name wasnt last name, first, middle initial....I really hope that he gets what everyone has sent him...I cant WAIT to get a real letter from him...more than just a scribble

My son left on 12/6/2011.  Got the phone call, short and sweet, got the letter from the recruiter, his in ship 11, div 061.

no letter yet from him. Graduation is 2/10/2012. I plan on going. Is anyone else going? we are from Tennessee.

 

 

 

 

My son left 12/7, box came 12/12 and letter 12/16. Looks like some who left then are PIR 2/3, but my son is also 2/10 and same as your son ship 11, div61. What is your son heading into? Know where he is heading for A school. My son will be going to Charleston. We live in Pennsylvania

I have not got a call besides the initial call or a form letter yet...it's,been two Weeks..I fig prob not a,call for awhile but no form letter or written letter??
