For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

PRAISE GOD!!!! I just got a call from my son today! We talked for a long time. His grandpa and sister got to speak with him too. His name is Angelo and he says he knows everyone in the division 070. He told me that they mess with them badly there. That he and some of the other SR's when they took the running test for the stripes, they put a machine on his leg. My son ran 15 MILES and the requirement was 12. But here's the deal, he even ran an extra 2 miles before time was up and the stupid machine ONLY recorded 11 miles!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I think they do this on purpose to mess with them. He said this happened to him and a few others with the machine not recording correctly. He told me he wanted me to be proud of him. I told him I am proud of him no matter what and I know his abilities. He said the money doesn't matter to him but it was kinda messed up the way they did that to them. I'm going to tell his recruiter. Anyway he can do the test again in 9 months, it was for stripes on his sleeve-

I am so happy that I heard from him, I cried after I got off the phone.

I got a phone call today to. Only for a few minutes. I was at work and he called his girlfriend first. He sounded great. Very upbeat. Sounds like things are coming together for them.

I heard from my SR today also. I missed his first call, so now I have a voicemail that I can play whenever I want. I caught his second try this afternoon, we got to talk for 6 whole minutes! He is having trouble with shin splints from an old injury he didn't know about, and is on restricted duty for now. (Fingers crossed it won't hold him back!)
It sure was good to hear his voice. -

I got several letters from him today. they were all from before the phone call though.

MY SR said it takes about 4 days for our letters to get to him. It is taking the same for me to get his letters. It is really strange for my daughter. She is 16 and had never addressed an envelope. Getting info that is several days old already is driving her a little crazy.
