Looking forward to getting to know those who are in my son's division.  He is 19 and will be a NUKE.  I am so proud of him.

I'll be ready. I thought you won last week!

So did I at first.  My co manager and I were interviewing an RN and she turned her back to me answering a question my co manager asked.  I jumped on and saw the question come up.  When I went back my mouse had moved and I posted in a new message instead of responding to the question.  Hopefully I will not have any meetings this time.

Oh Trivia Tuesday....How you get my hopes up....:(....I thought I was fast with my answer....Gosh, you have to be super fast...I guess we need to do an all nighter on bootcampnavy.mil to have this info memorized, instead of having to search for it...Next week....

So, I just got the news.....I am off for the 16th and 17th...Whoohoo...now to get everything booked...I sure hope we have great weather....This Arizona Girl is not use to cold weather...Guess i will have to go on a shopping trip.....Dont think my flip flops will keep my feet warm

Yeah Raeinaz! I'm glad that worked out for you! Yes, the trivia is definitely competitive! It may be easier to qualify for the Navy SEALS than be first on the Tues trivia! I'm starting to study tonight for next week!   No flip flops plz!

SO glad to hear you are off.  I know it will mean a lot to you and your SR.

Hi all, just found this board!!! My SR is 03/070!  I missed his first phone call and have been having a really hard time since then, boards like this really help!

Welcome bbbbug...This website has helped me a lot....I am sorry you missed your first call. Me and my husband both work from home, but for 2 different companies, so I was only able to talk to my SR for 5 mins, and had to hand the phone over to my husband for the res of the call....and you know how men are...they just dont get the right info or ask the right guestions....hahaha...besides that i just plan missed being able to talk to him for more then 5 mins...

Will you be going to PIR?

Wouldn't miss it for the world!  I've already got the day off work and have booked a room at the Navy Lodge!  Yes, leave it to the men!  My SR (husband) only got to talk to his Dad.  Both his mother and I are mystified by his (Dads) total lack of info! Lol! What can you do?

Tomorrow is my letter day so I'm in good spirits!

@bbbbug, Hope your letters come today ours didn't.  Maybe the holiday threw an additional day on delivery. They've been coming Wed or Thurs so we'll see tomorrow.  Welcome to the forum!!

We got Letters Yesterday....One day later then usual, I am sure due to the holiday. Our Sr seemed a little more talkative this round of letters....H said they got their first flag to carry at PIR, but dod not say what it was for...:(..He said he has passes all of his inspections so far...Ummmm pretty proud of that when I remember the state of his bedroom at timis...haha...He says his RDC's think they can get a perfect score on the next test to get their 2nd flag....so I am glad to hear that they are being encouraged....

We have our flights booked, car reserved and room reserved....there will be 4 of us attending....Me, my husband, our oldest son and our SR's only girl cousin (only girl in the family....) Everyone is so excited...now to go out and find some warm clothes to wear....We just dont have a need for warm clothes in Arizona....haha

We are in the same boat.  Everything reserved and looking for warm clothes.  I got 2 letters today.   He wanted to know if he has to buy the photos and Keel.  Said they are expensive and he does not want to be broke. LOL  Does not want to spend the money after buying uniforms.  Of course the answer is "Yes, I will pay for them."

Oh yes, we have had the same conversation....order your pictures and keel, no mater the cost......we will pay.....I guess they are growing up, trying to be responsible..:)
