"Like" his page on FB and see all the stuff he's involved with. He's always working one one fundraiser or another. What a great kid!!

Wow Birdie!   those are some awesome photos and I didn't know about the young Marines.  I wasn't really sure how Luke got involved.  What a blessing this young man is!

What an exceptional young man!

here is a photo of pcs that I mailed to an Army unit.  I met the POC's mom at the pillowcase challenge and even got to send 1 that she had made that day:

I just got this lovely thank you note.

Ms. Lyn,
My name is Elizabeth, and I just recently got settled into my new home away from home for my deployment.  When I arrived, my sponsor had a welcome aboard packet for me that included a beautiful pillowcase....your pillowcase.  I would like to thank you.  I currently have that on my pillow, on my bed right now.  I helps to make this feel just that little bit more like home.  I appreciate what you do, and thank you again for such a wonderful gift!!!!
                                     Sincerely,
                               Elizabeth ****

I got a nice thank you note in the mail today too!

Ma'am,

Thank you so much for the pillow cover.  It is real nice to know that people do care for us.  It makes me feel like I'm back home somehow and is easier to fall asleep.  Thanks again :)  Gy Sgt A

I did not take a photo, but I mailed this vet a pillowcase that was made out of fabric that said "thank you" in many different fonts.  Here's what he said:

Sue - "I GOT IT - I GOT IT - I GOT IT!!!!! HOW AWESOME IS THAT!!! I was so happy when i got it, i immediately put it on my pillow and layed my head on it!! All I can say is "IT'S AMAZING", your letter brought me to tears!!! I can't thank you enough!! I'm writing you a letter better explaining what it is that I did over in afghanistan, as well as the guys I worked with - and of course our "War Dogs"!! I am also wanting to give you one of our units shirts, what size should I send - or bring to you?? I will be posting my pillow case pics on my facebook page this week - are you on facebook at all?? If so I would love to be friends with you there!! Thank you and all your helpers so very much - you made my day!! Talk to you soon.

Ladies, About a month or so ago, I was given 202 Surgical Scrub Caps that were handmade by a friend of mine. They have made it to their destanation in the sand box. Here is a picture and the email I recieved today. I want you to know that this email has touched my heart and soul today. Ms. Sadalia is my friend who made the caps and donated them.

Dear Ms. Maryellen and Ms. Sedalia,

I am CPT Heather XXXXX, and I'm pleased to be in contact with you both! Today, I received your package of the scrub caps and was truly delighted! I will distribute them to our medical service people tomorrow AM, as it's quite late here now. I will attempt to take a few pictures of our Soldiers with their new scrub caps and send them your way!

Also, I will be sending a thank you card, but it may take up to 8 weeks before you receive it! Out-going mail takes much longer to get to its' destination, than in-coming!

I wanted to thank you ladies personally for making this happen for our Soldiers here at FOB Fxxxx! I can't tell you how much your support and prayers mean to all of us here! Thanks again for your dedication and support of our troops!

Sincerely,
Heather XXXX<CPT, AG
Battalion S1

Im working on that one, so will keep you posted

excellent!

got this thank you note from the local group that I mailed to in April:

Hello ladies-
Thank you for your Heads at Ease pillowcase program.  One of the people I'm
deployed with recently received a box full of your pillowcases and shared them
with everyone.  I appreciate all the care and work that went into making them
and currently have a brightly colorred pillowcase covered in Peace signs
adorning my bed.

Thanks for your support!
