Hey Sharpmom~ I am going to attend Sarge's Meet & Greet. Will be bringing my Daughter and my Brother. So happy they are coming with me to support my Son! If I wind up staying at the Ramada, I'll let you know.
Who's going with your to PIR?

Hope you have all had a good Monday. 24 more days! YEA!!!!!  Our SR's are on wk 4 day 2 today. They do their weapons training this week. They should also be taking pictures within the next few days. You might want to ask your SR's if they are planning to mail the pictures home or give them to you at PIR. Sent a letter to my daughter today asking what she is planning to do, as well as asking how their 2nd PFA went on Friday.

I have been thinking about what to get my daughter for graduation. She has been wanting an I-Pad ( or a less expensive version anyway). Not sure we are going to do that, but haven't decided yet. Would be interested in what you are planning for your SR.

I haven't thought about it. All I can think about is hugging him!

My son is in Ship12 div 154. I am new to this site. Didn't know about it until yesterday. Found the postcard in my sons Navy folder he left.

Are you from Minnesota??

Yes southern mn

OMG!!!!   We are in Mankato..

Fairmont!

I just clicked on your post and saw that... Sooo cool... We just openned a facility in Fairmont and I helped set it up and train our staff... I am guessing that our guys left on the same day but got on different divisions.. Mitch is with Ship 11 Division 156.. I read all the mom posts for this very reason to see where everyone is from and to see if I can help or assist anyone..When are you leaving for PIR??  Where are you staying??  Sooo exciting!

The AM of May 17th Comfort Inn. I can't wait!! Not being able to talk or text him is driving me crazy!

I totally understand!  Mitch went off to college in Ely, MN and graduated and I did just fine as an empty nester as Mitch is our youngest.. But him going in the Navy has totally ROCKED my world!!  My husband would say that is an understatement.. I find myself crying for no reason other than I miss him and his voice or text..  We have yet to even get a call from him.. The last we talked was the generic call that they arrived.  He has been writing tho and everyone is telling us that NO NEWS IS GOOD NEWS... Ugh.. not helping..

I cry for "no reason" too. The other day my husband said I was over reacting-I told him your not the mom you don't get it. Then he felt bad and hugged me until I got it out of my system
