I'm very crafty and have pay pal and was thinking of making ribbons for everyone if you send me like a dollar per ribbon you needed. I'd need to start pretty soon, and if their PIR changes, I'm willing to mail them.

My boyfriend is Ship 11 Division 252. I already have my airplane tickets, and have yet to get a hotel room. His recruiter told me it's safe to buy the tickets now because there is as much chance now of failing as week 8 when they hit battle station's.

So if you want one, get in contact with me and I'll get it rolling.

deelee...maybe your SR was on watch.  I wish I had gotten to actually talk with him, but at least I got to hear his voice.

Proudmom... I caught my breath when I saw what you wrote.  I am so sorry.  Augh! I hope they get to call again.  I'm glad you got to hear his voice though. I barely even know what he said but just hearing his voice was the best.  We kept cutting out too.  I thought I was on mute or something.... Deelee, maybe he was on duty.  I saw somewhere to ask who was on duty, and didn't get to call, but I didn't get to that question.  What happend to 20 minutes???  I think the only question I got answered was do you still like it (yes) and who's your bunkmate (Ethan).

Thanks Deez828... I am okay with it now... I just hope my son didn't get deflated over it.

Just dropping in to say Hello to everyone!!! We are at the half way point I hope second half goes fast a month from today we will get to hug those Sailors!!  Our group has been quiet this week. I hope we all get letters this week Tues. and Wed. seems to be our lucky days :)

Hey deelee... I too am looking forward to the day I can hug my sailor! Our mail day has been Thursday ... hoping this next 30 days fly by!

Today I got two letters my lucky day!! You all will be happy to to know that div 252 is starting to come together as a team . As for those calls they got to make last week they only were to be 2 min calls and they ran out of time that is why my son didnt get to call he did say almost the entire div. broke down and cried after that I think it was a mind game for our poor guys but my son said everyone was ok after a little while and that if they score perfect on some of the up coming tests they might get to call home so there is still hope for a phone call :) I hope more of you moms get letters today and tomorrow ....

My son told me just about the same thing in his letter.  They all cried.  I'm sure it was a mind game. Give em a little taste and make them work for the next phone call.  Ugh.  Heart wrenching. He also said if they do really well on their tests that they might get a 20 minute phone call.  We can only hope!!!  Jess and I have been getting letters on Thursdays.  I guess they mail them on Saturday or Sunday?  I know Thursday come around and I'm pacing and ready to pounce on the mail lady!!  Lol.

I know the feeling my mail day is Wednesday I race home from work in the hopes I will find a letter !! I am still hoping to get a phone call but if I dont its ok  the one call I do want though is the I am a Sailor call!!!

My son is on Ship 11 Div 252 and we have the "plan" to get to graduation... I feel like it is forever between letters. Is anyone else driving from Colorado?

@Darlene welcome to the group and yes it does seem like it is forever between letters Tuesdays are the days I really miss my son then on Wed. there is my letter :) I am not driving from Colorado but I am driving up there from Iowa.

Thanks we will be staying in Iowa one night on our way to Great Lakes....anyway I haven't got my letter this week but maybe tomorrow... his fiance came over today and she waits just like us She'll be traveling with us to the graduation..

Darlene, my son also is in 252. It does feel like forever between letters.. I guess they aren't getting the extra letter writing time like their brother division 251 :-(
