trainermom:  This is totally normal for this early in bc.  Write extra letters to him and ask others to do the same.  They just need to hear from everyone that they CAN do this because they are having so much going on, mentally-emotionally-physically, they have a hard time with that.  By another couple of weeks, there will be a turnaround for them for the positive.  You will see this--in letters/calls...it is during training week 4 (about 2-3 weeks before PIR) and they finally start feeling better about everything.  Hang in there...it gets better!

You all please stay on the main PIR page with comments also.  We N4Moms veterans cannot check all of the discussion groups every day so we miss things here.  But we do check the main PIR page often!

update on my son, he called today and the first words out of his mouth were "I have bad news" not the words you want to hear from your child. He is being involuntarily separated from the Navy. He is crushed and very angry as he has had the goal of being a sailor his entire life and now that is not possible. They were issuing the whites and blues today and he was devastated that he didn't even get his on. I'm hoping that he can call me today so that I can see if this is something he can fight. One thing he did share with me that I wanted to pass on is that the SR's he was with were continuing to work as a team and that while the RDC's with them are more like Marines, they are "the best instructors on the base" this is coming from the same young man that was so clear on hating them!!!!!

I am so glad to hear that they are working as a team. my son is on this division. I received a short note saying that he was having chest pains. Hope it is just anxiety or something. Haven't had a phone call yet. :( really want to hear from him and let him know we are proud of him.

my son is Div 286. Can't wait to see him

got my first letter from my brother today :) so glad to finally hear from him all is good just home sick :( trying to tell him he will be ok i dont think the home sickness will go away for awhile tho

Ship 12 Div 286 !!!   Where are you from?

my son is ship 12 DIV285 I'm looking for anyone from Pittsburgh area going to graduation. I need information. my email is negej1@comcast.net

My son is on Ship 12, Div 285. He called today and it was so nice to hear his voice, but it made me sad like the day he left all over again.  Can't wait until 9/7 to see him!

Fantastic day today!! Got more letters from the boys, on top of the phone calls yesterday! It is absolutely amazing the difference between between this weekend and 2 weeks ago. My heart is full. God is great! I have been worried sick about my youngest son's shin splints but after driving myself nuts and worrying myself crazy all night and morning. It finally dawned on me that he will be fine and make it through with prayers as long as that is God's intention and if not then we will seek God about what to do then. Thanks to all for the support, prayers and info. Much appreciated. :)

Hi everyone ! So excited to have received a phone call last night. I answered the phone and heard a faint "mom", I saying was saying his name and then realized he was crying. I said "are you okay, are you hurt?" He said "No I just miss you and no ones said my 1st name in 3 weeks" LOL! But he states All is going good, the division has earned a flag, he bragged about his PFT accomplishments, they started week 3/1 today. He stated he's bonded with 3 other SR's and the RDC's call them "the crew" He told me keep the letters coming-very motivating. In all his letters i include "A GO FOR IT" quote, he said he and "the crew" look forward to them. Ive received 3 letters so far, one he stated he writing while sitting on the toilet! Todays letter he asked if I would send cookies and address it to the RDC's of Ship12 Div 285...... and to say it was from me. Thats my kid... ughhh!

Would love to hear from my son. He is also on Ship12 DIV285

Sent you a friend request. Not sure if you saw it :)
