Did you get your form letter yet? You can check out the boot camp moms group. There isnt a PIR group for that yet

Hi Sherry,  I just signed up to Navy for Moms because I found your post through Google.  I'm not sure how to navigate the website yet, but my son is in ship 2 division 944.  He plays the drums.  Any word other than the form letter?

Nice to meet you Eunice. Kind of weird you found my post in Google. My son has no performing background so I can only guess he was placed in this division because of his scores. No word other than the form letter and short initial call. No little notes for me on the letter or the box :( how about you?
I didn't have any note either. I read somewhere the band members go to the 900s, but I don't really know. It seems I spend a lot of time searching online for information. He told me when he called to tell me he had arrived that it was probably the last time I would hear from him for two weeks. Do you know if the two weeks started when they arrived on the 18th or ....

is anyone still using this site my son is in 944 and ship 2 but he does not playing any instrument.  Are any of your sons serving at graduation??

Hi momma squid, I talked to my son Thursday. He said they look like graduation is still set for Sept 14. I was wondering what you meant by serving. Another I met thru this site boyfriend is in this Div also. Her boyfriend is not a musician either. I think my son said there is only 4 that play music in the Div but I can't remember the exact number. Have you talked to your son? How's he doing?

Mom 1 navy talked to my son three times on phone and letter.  He loves it and all the info i received about 900 makes sense to me now.  He said he helping with graduation which stinks on my part do not see him.  its ok ill get him later.   Then he goes NUKE school how about your son.

Fantastic! I've talked to him 3 times (which includes the I'm here call). He is with the music program which he was accepted into before he left for BC. He really likes the Commander in charge of the music program and will be heading to VA for A school. He said they have some cool stuff this week, but next week they call h%*@ week. Yikes! I hope it goes well. He told me they may be playing music for several (including his own 9/14) upcoming PIR. I keep looking for photos. Are y'all going to PIR? I can't wait!

Hi lemonelephant, thanks to your reply to momma squid I've found some more info on my son. He's in Div 944. I've been watching Facebook but didn't know it would be about 2 weeks prior to PIR before I could possibily see him in a photo. Thanks!
I read that. I understand just hoping to catch a glimpse. Thanks

Wow guys went away and did not read this.  Thank you so much for your info.  My son called and said he had to serve drinks to the higher ups ( sorry do not know all the levels)  during graduation I thought wow Im not seeing him or is he punished but it is an honor i heard.  Thank you ladies.  Is anyone in this 944 going to Nuke school.
