I can't wait to meet all of you there and give ya'll hugs :)

Booked my flight, yay, it's offical now, at least for me.  The only little thing standing in my way now is the battlestations test.  Our SR's will do great on it though.

I am looking for ship 303 challenge coin.  Does anyone know where we can find one for this ship.  Or for that matter what the ships name is I think from some search that it is the USS Arleigh Burke but I am not even sure about that.  Hope you ladies are all having a great Wednesday.

I was wondering that, too.

Kellie, to to the "Groups" tab.  Search "Challenge Coins".   I think a N4M dad designed some of them.

Got our phone call today!  Was able to talk to our son for almost a half an hour!  Was so good to hear his voice....he sounded great!

Half an hour?  That't great!

I received my call today for about 5 minutes. She sounds so different. I told her that I'm on this blog and wants to know the loved ones you are all with! Can you send their names? She is Yeoman.....had to have dental work done and knows someone from 304.  If Anyone is having problems who lives far away getting a hotel message me. We live 2 hours away from the base and will try and help find something within reasonable distance. We are staying in Linconshire.

We got two more letters today. Happy day. Bought airline tickets, made hotel reservations and rented a car.

Our son said he has been doing staff duty. He says it gives him a chance to leave the compartment and not get yelled at by the RDC's. He cleans and moves stuff. His RDC told him that he can afford to miss some PT because he is so fit (already passed the PT and the DEP(?) tests) and that someone has to do staff duty. He says if it will help get another promotion then it is well worth it. He said that last Thursday they had their first compartment inspection and they failed pretty bad. The bathroom was dirty. As a division they failed. But he said they learned alot from the mistakes and now know what to expect. It feels like our son has grown up when he says "The point of this inspection is to pay attention to detail". He may seem like a stranger when we see him.

That must have made your day!  Congrats to your son for passing his tests!

That's great.  I love hearing different SR's take on the same days.  Mine never mentioned not passing the inspection test but did tell me to pray that he passed with all the folding etc.  Yeah about all the reservations, good to know that even though it seems FOREVER away, we are for sure going  to matter what.
