Sue --
My name is Commander Brent xxxx and I am a former CO of the USS STETHEM. This past summer, you and your team sent us a package from the Heads at Ease project.
I regret the time it took me to thank you. We were in the midst of a busy deployment and then I got swept away moving back to the states and getting settled. I check into my next job next week and am enjoying just a little "downtime" before getting back to work.
This is a belated THANK YOU on behalf of the crew of STETHEM. It is always nice to get "touches from home" whenever you are on a deployment. I'd say that is even more so for a ship, such as STETHEM, that is forward based in Japan.  Many folks, including myself, have been out of the US for 3 years.
I know that taking on such a project like this is very time consuming but is something done out of love and appreciation. Likewise, we in the military have a tremendous appreciation for the outpouring of support we get wherever we are. Programs like yours really make our service to country special.
I hope that you are able to continue to grow your project throughout 2013. It is a meaningful contribution of service to our country. Our nation's military service extends soooo far beyond just those of us in uniform.  People like you areright there alongside us.
May you have a happy and blessed new year!
Best,
Brent xxxx

Sue -- one other thing -- if you could please pass the below to Ms. Maryellen Peller, I'd be grateful. She made my personal pillowcase, and I'd like her to have my personal thanks as well!!!!!
