Welcome to the discussion group for divisions 037 & 038
These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.
Get to know each other, your SRs are!
Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.
Every single question that is asked is important
Every single concern is genuine
Every single member is important to us
We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.
Hang in there!!!

FINALLY!!! I received his first letter today, he wrote it on the 9th. He said that he was also sick, but is feeling better now. He said the beds were not great it was cold (and we're from NY) but the food was awesome. He is missing home and especially his "best friend", his 6 year old sister...:( and cant wait to see us. But all in all he said he was doing fine..and told me to stop stalking our mail lady :) I think I can now breathe felt like I was holding my breath this entire 3 weeks so far.
I'm hoping you get your letter Lauren...I was so excited I could barely open the envelope!! As of the 9th,he had only received 2 of my letters...and he didnt include anything about Christmas..
He sounded really good in his letter...he said that they are all working on "team work" and that they do yell alot but so far stayed under the radar :) He also said that they were up late and up early, which he expected. I'm so glad that he was prepared for this all and it wasnt a shock, and that basically his only complaint is..that the bed wasnt too comfortable...miss him so much, and can not wait til Dec 21st. I'm hoping he gets the rest of my letters soon, so he can start answering more of my questions hehehe
My son is in Ship 11 Div 32 and we will be driving to Great Lakes from Maryland. We live in Millersville, Maryland (around Severna Park/Glen Burnie) and we're staying at the Springhill Suites - Waukegan, Illinois. It's about 5.6 milles from RTC, has a free hot breakfast, and a shuttle to RTC. The Navy Graduation Rate is $89/night for a room with 2 queen beds & a queen sleep sofa, microwave & frig. The room is a little larger than a normal hotel room. It will be me, my husband, other son, and my SR's best friend - so it should work even with 4 adults. Where in Maryland will you be drive from?
YAYYYYYYY!!!!! Got my letter and I have not stop crying yet. I miss him so much and it feels even better to hear that hemisses me just as much! He is a Leader in his Division, he said his position is called "STARBOARD" This was such a joy! Good to see that everyone else has heard from theor SR as well. 35 More Days!!! Ship 11 Div 037 whhhoooooo!
Is your SR in division 037? If we called these tears of joy now, what will they be called at graduation? Lol!
