Welcome to the Division Discussion for divisions 085 and 086.

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important Every single concern is genuine Every single member is important to us We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

No letter or phone call here either. I'm going crazy as well! Hopefully by the weekend! Stay positive!!

Ship 12 Div 085  I did receive a letter today. No phone call. My son said he don't know when he will be able to call because they are low in points. He said a lot of people are making them lose points because they don't listen well and won't be quiet. He did say that at first it was hard but now it is getting easier. So that is awesome. He has only seen the sun once!

Thank you for the update! I'm glad you got a letter! I hope they start learning their lesson and be quiet so we can hear from them!

You're welcome for the update. I hope you get your letter soon. I wish they would be good so that we can get a call too!

Thank you for the update, happy for you that you received a letter, I'm glad to hear they are ok. I agree it is very hard not hearing from our SRs, I found last night going to bed very difficult not having heard anything. Looking back through some other PIR walls, I noticed week 3 Thursday and Friday were big days. So we all need to hang in there.

I finally received a letter today.  It was very up beat.  Nothing was said about there being any trouble.  He did say that he may not get to go to A school right away as it's "backed up". Not sure what that means. Was busy polishing his boots and ironing. I take this as a good sign.

It looks like the letters are slowly comimg in. I am happy for all you who have received your letters. I am sure it has giving  joy and a piece of mind to finally receive them. I am hopefull that I will receive one from my SR soon. Man I miss my son....on christmas I wore his old work landyard around my neck and today I am wearing his nike hoodie, I hope I dont stretch it out to much lol

Linda, thank you for the encouraging news. I hope to see a letter when I get home from work. Glad his letter sounded positive.

The day I've been waiting for finally came! Travis wrote me two letters and said the first opportunity they had to write was the 22nd. He said that everyone there has a cold and is feeling under the weather. His position is the Yeoman and he said it keeps him very busy doing paperwork all day everyday, if his job is not done right they will not graduate on time! No pressure on Travis haha. Also he said everyone is getting along well and being good friends. He didn't mention anything about any trouble and he got first in the PFA's (: so happy to hear from him! Hopefully phone calls come soon!

Finally got my letter here in Fla! He sounds great and said they are all getting along well. Didn't mention anything about being in trouble either. Said he's done night watch and the food is good. Hope everyone else gets there letters! Mine was 6 pages both front and back :)
Yay I go a letter, short and sweet but it's a letter. Said she passed PTAs so all is good. Has had night watch and not a lot of sleep. But otherwise she is well.

Looks like all of us here got letters. I got my questionairre back and another letter from my son. He said keep the letters coming, they are like "cash" there. He got 3 of my letters at once. Bed not to comfortable, but doing the job. Everyone is getting along. He has made a lot of friends. His bunkmates last name is Nestved (I think that is the spelling), Josh is first name. Anyone on here with that last name? He said the food is "great" Crab Alfredo, Lasagna. Better than he expected. RDC's are doing a really good job keeping them proud and motiviated.  Nothing about any trouble or low points.Staying out of trouble. (I had to ask him that) Hoping to call, has so much to tell us. I cried happy tears! Hope everyone gets good news like I did. The letter was dated 12/22 and got it today. That was fast! One very happy mom here.
