Submarine moms are special:

--- All of us have boys, "SAILORS!"

 --- Who serve on "boats,"

 --- With whereabouts unknown, and

--- We only get sporadic, short emails while they're out!

Tell us where your sailor serves...

Anyone have a son assigned to the North Dakota yet?  My son reported this week.

My son is a Nuke MM/ELT on the USS North Carolina?  Just reported the beginning of November.

If you don't have a number, I would try leaving a message on your boat's site here and see if someone can forward a msg for you. But, I think, if your son didn't sign the needed forms you won't get info. Plus info about departures and returns can only be communicated in person or by snail mail... Due to security. I pretty much never know when my son goes or returns since I live so far away.

@ USS Hawaii Mom,

Couldn't find your post, I put in somewhere special in my outlook emails.

I do some ancestor digging, so I have so many emails I tagged as special. lol

Did you see any of the pictures of the USS Hawaii homecoming?  If you can figure out how to message me, please do.  Or just post again and I'll message you.

I have seen pictures. Google USS Hawaii and there's a picture if the homecoming and an article.

My Sailor Boy serves aboard the USS Buffalo.

It's been two long years since we've seen him, but are so proud of him and all our Military and the sacrifices they and their families make to protect all of us.

Evening to Everyone here!  Although my son has married since being in the navy, marriage less than one year, navy 16 months, he's still my son. He's on the USS San Juan in  CT., and is currently doing his underways in prep for the big deployment/underway later this year.

This is great to be able to check in and stuff.  thank you.

My son Matt is on the Dallas he is stationed in CT.  I am fortunate as he is able to come home when ever he has leave.  We live a couple of hours away.  I can also go see him on his day off and if I am off.  He will be leaving soon and I will not be able to see him for a long time.  I already miss him.  I am also very proud of him and his commitment to serve his country.

We're in Florida so just a smidge too far away :(    His Name is Nathaniel and I make sure I stay in touch with the DIL (daughter-in-law) without being in her face - just text once or so a week.

Pleased to meet you both :)

Hey Cookie, nice to meet you too! Is Nathaniel also in CT? Def not down the street from you.
Good to stay in touch with the DI... I do the same thing with the GF..... ; )
