Hi Navy Mom-nc, We just heard from our SR that he is in Ship #2 Div 916. That's Ship Staff/Honor Guard right?

Finally I've got a mom to communicate with. Will be waiting to hear from you.

Yay!!!!  My son's name is Scott from NC.  He will know your kids I'm sure by now.  :)  I just booked our reservations today too!

We reserved a family suite at the Navy Lodge. Soooooo excited!

Has anyone received calls from their SR?  I haven't heard anything, just the  The Box and Form Letter so far.

  • HI THERE.. my son is in the same DIV as yours... i am sooo jealous u got a call

  • did he sound good... and idea what their actual job is yet?

Hi Mocha...my son in the same division. Congrats! on two calls.

My son Zac is in 2/916, as well.  I could not believe how grown up he sounded when he called, even though it was just for a few minutes for additional info for his security clearance.  I missed the first call, but luckily he called right back.  But now I can listen to the voicemail again and again when I want to hear his voice.

My SR boyfriend is also in ship 2 div 916. I just got his address a few days ago. Haven't spoken to him since he landed at the airport! I'm hoping to be able to attend the PIR :)

Nice to meet all of you.  My son is in this same div.  I received a letter yesterday.  He sounded so good!  He asked for addresses and pictures, which I am mailing out right away.  I was excited to see what his division is.  I can't wait to see him on the 8th.  We will be staying at the Ramada Inn.

My son is ship 02 div 916. Got his form letter last week and I got a letter from him yesterday. So excited, but no phone calls yet. Should I send him a phone card?

They tell me that need them to call but that they can buy them at the NEX.  I was able to get some from callsforrecruits.org.  They were free, they just asked if we could donate, if not ok too.  and that they recruit share 2 with another recruit that does not have one.  Chances are, someone will pass one on to your SR.  I too got a letter, on Friday.  I was so excited.  Are you able to make it to the PIR?

Yes I just bought our plane tickets and we are staying at the Navy lodge.
