Welcome to the Division Discussion for Division 920

Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important Every single concern is genuine Every single member is important to us We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

Hello Vicki,
Sorry I did not reply earlier, but I just now saw your comment. It is so nice to know there is one more connection between us and our sons. Somehow it makes this separation and tribulation seem not as lonely.
Finding out there are so many ways to be set back or to be disqualified, it really makes me think and pray every night.
I pray for his safety, his health, and his success. I want for him to achieve his goal and to be proud of his accomplishments.
Thank you so much for thinking of our son during your precious and timed phone conversation with your son, it is deeply touching.
I will ask Octavio to say hi to Brian too and their moms have made a connection here.

Vicki where are staying for PIR?

Syntia, it's great to find a fellow mom in this division!  Hard to believe I'd been a band mom for 7 years and now my guy is on his own, and his friends are all off finding their own ways as well.  I hope our boys will have something in common, when they get some free time.  We are a praying family, so Brian (and the men around him who are his new family) are included.  Welcome to the family.  It will make Bri's time away a little easier seeing a mutual friend there on base.

We won't be staying in town for PIR since we live just hours away.  We have pets with no house-sitter, so I don't think we can stay till Saturday. I'm am glad he's staying @ GL for A School -- was going to be SC until his class filled up while waiting for a waiver.  Yep, setbacks take your breath away, but they are better than outright disqualifications.

So you have your son's dog?  We do too. We've already taken his rabbit to the vet.( Warm, huggable reminders of the him.) Octavio's blessed to have parents to take care of his dog... they get so confused sometimes. Brian's first trip overseas caused his dog to just sit and stare away with her ears down when he returned, like she couldn't believe it was him.

Best wishes, hon.

What day do you ladies usually receive your letter?

Hi Pobs,

We received the form letter 11 days after our SR went to BC :-)

Sorry I should have been more specific! Ha. I meant the weekly personal letters. just curious how long it takes everyone to get their letters from their SR. The first letter I got was on Saturday. Last week was Friday. I'm hoping I'll get one tomorrow! Friday and Saturday feels like forever to wait. Ha.

Hello NAVY Family!
We enjoyed sharing a nice late lunch with the Adams & the Motts. It was a priveledge to enjoy your company.
