I had a really fun way to begin my day and March 1st!  An email from a MC asking this:

How do you decide where to send the pillow cases? I am currently deployed aboard the USS William P. Lawrence. 2 years ago I was aboard the Stennis where we received many pillow cases and I saw how it raised the morale of the crew and I was interested in seeing if we could do the same for this
ship.
R,  MC3 Carla

Of course, I wrote right back and said "YES".  She got the permission from her XO and we are good

to go.

We need 250 and there are about 48 females.  I would like to do this ship in 1 wave and would love to

mail March 6 - 9.  If you are able to mail some, please let me know!  This is what we have so far:

I can mail 16 pcs by the 11th. If I can do more I'll let you know. Just got out of the hospital yesterday, so I will start sewing tomorrow.

No problem

Okay I feel like a slug - I have 10 - I'll have to work on that number this weekend

Birdie, thanks for being flexible!  I do appreciate it!

Sandman-no "slug" feelings allowed!  HAE is a project that is not supposed to stress anyone out! Believe me, I get that enough for everyone hahah.

You are just getting started and have 10 made?  AWESOME!   I have sewn since I was 12 or 13 and have made 2 this year. No worries.

I did get some cut out last week, made 1 on Sunday and mailed it on Tuesday.  Today, I will make 1 to mail next week.  See, you are in good company.

This ship is filled, but ME is working on the other ships so just keep plugging along at a pace that works for you! We appreciate it.
