My boyfriend of three years just left for bootcamp Monday, the 13th. I got the final call the 14th and completly broke down. I have never gone more than a day without talking to him and this is a complete culture shock! I miss him very very much, but I know this is exactly what he wants to do and I couldn't be more proud. Not getting a phone call for a few weeks is killing me deep down inside, it's an awful feeling losing your best friend. I have written him everyday so far, and I can't wait to get his address so I can start sending him the letters. Everyone says that it will get easier, however I feel like it won't at all. Has anyone else had someone leave for bootcamp on the 14th? I need some help getting through all of this crazy mess!!!

Join the group, DEP-Leavin for bootcamp in May (clickable link), to connect with others with loved ones who that dayand may have PIR together. Arrival and What Happens at the RTC within Boot Camp Moms (and loved ones) will let you know what is happening.
You'll be getting the form letter soon. It is best to wait until you receive the form letter before sending letters. Letter Writing & Fun Stuff/Questionnaires to send to your Recruit gives more info on that.
I invite you to join DEP-Leavin for bootcamp in May and Boot Camp Moms (and loved ones). The group for the 07/12/2013 TG will be up later today.
What is your SR's division number?
You will also want to join Girlfriends, Fiances, and Wives of Sailors.
(Group names within this reply are clickable links. To join a group, click on the group name and when the group page opens, click on "+ Join..." in the upper right.)
Those who arrived that date will have PIR either 07/03/2103 or 07/12/2013 depending on if they are in a Push Division and filled a division from the TG for the week before or are in a division for the TG from last week. I thought from your comment that you had received the address. Do wait on the form letter. See Arrival and What Happens at the RTC within Boot Camp Moms (and loved ones).
