Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 307 and 308

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important Every single concern is genuine Every single member is important to us We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

I wonder if Greg and Evan have met? hope so

I hope so too.  I don't know how many guys are on the Ship, but it makes me happy to think that they know each other and are working together as part of the team.  Much the same way as we are supporting each other on this website:)  Funny, I would have gone to boot camp if they would have let me.  I guess it's a good thing they don't LOL.

OMG, I told his recruiter last Novermber that I want to go too and he just smiled and Evan said, oh no she is serious, ha ha ha

Hi Holli,

Though I'm not a mother, my soon-to-be fiance is in Div 307, and he will be staying in Great Lakes for A-School.

Thats cool.  Evan's job is Damage controlman (firefighting)

Can anyone tell me the significance or story behind the Navy Recruit Training Command Challenge Coin?  I ordered one for a PIR gift, but want to understand the meaning behind the coin.  Thanks much:)

Hi Holli and Gregsmom!! How are you today? Holli, my son is Brett. He's going to be going to Groton, CT for A school. He's going to be working with computers and electronics on submarines. I'm not sure how many are on the ship, but my son says he's made great friends and they are helping each other. Sounds like good teamwork so far.

How old is Brett?  My son Evan is 18

Brett is 18, too. He's my first one to leave home and we are like best friends. It has been hard getting used to him not being here.

Evan is our oldest and only boy, we have a 14 year old daughter too.  I am very close to Evan too, so its been hard
