Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 301 and 302
These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.
Get to know each other, your SRs are!
Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.
Every single question that is asked is important Every single concern is genuine Every single member is important to us We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.
Hang in there!!!

Last I talked to him, he said he probably wouldn't know until the last minute, but from what I am reading here, they will have liberty Friday and probably fly out Saturday. We are going to stay until Sunday afternoon just in case and we can at least sit with him at the airport if he leaves Saturday.
Hi Texas mom! Where abouts? I'm Granger.
Hi JenM, what's your sons job? My daughter is in 302 heading to Pensacola as an (AE) Aviation Electrician. We are from Los Angeles. Are you planning to go to the meet and greet with Sarge Thursday night? I hear it is awesome and has a lot of useful information.
Thanks licismom. I got the details for the meet and greet now :)
licismom, I saw on the other page that you are staying at Best Western in Gurnee. We are too! I will be going to Sarge's Meet and Greet with my daughter and son's girlfriend. My ex husband made our room reservations, so I was relieved to see someone else was staying there!
Question...does anyone here have a son that is in charge of the watch schedule and logs? I can't remember what they are called.
Looking forward to meeting you at Sarge's. I am so glad that someone from SRs division is staying at Best Western also. Are you leaving anyone at the motel to watch via live feed? Licismom, husband and my husband (Papa) are going to PIR but SRs brother and I are staying behind. Would love to have company to cheer them on from afar.
My sixteen year old daughter is! If they use the original list he turned in, his dad will be. I imagine they turn in a final list before PIR, though. In that case, it will be my daughter. We may be a little late to the Meet and Greet as we are driving in from Milwaukee. If it is too late, maybe you can share info with me!
Did anyone else get a call from DIV 301 Saturday? My SR said they challenged the chief to a shoe shine contest. LOL And although they didn't win they did good and earned a call. I was so glad to hear from him cause he had said they wouldn't get to call for quite some time. He did sound really tired though.
I just got a letter from my SR. He said that DIV301 is doing really well. They got a Bravo Zulu on Marlinespike with zero hits and 4 1/2 minutes to spare. He was really pumped about it. He also said that on 7/22 they were having their second PFA and PI. WTI was going to be on 7/23 and today they were supposed to start their live fire courses.
Congratulations! The last letters we have received have sounded much more upbeat then the first couple. They are adjusting well. Good luck to them all!
As I tell my SR in each letter - Work Strong - Study Smart (and this week I added ) Shoot Straight!
