Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 307 and 308

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important Every single concern is genuine Every single member is important to us We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

Any ship 14 uss Arizona Div 307
Mom's

Good Morning Carmen47,

I am a Ship 14 USS Arizona Div 307 mom.

Welcome aboard, now strap yourself in and enjoy the ride. LOL

me too, our son Evan is Ship 14 and Div 307

Mine did too Holli. Sorry :0/

maybe when he calls on wednesday, he'll tell me "Mom I got all your letters"

Holli my son has received all of his letters sent to ship 13.

did he really?  well maybe he'll get them in the next couple of days

Morning ladies :)

just joined the site & group.. My son Daniel is also ship 14 div 307... got to hear from him this past sunday, he was either exhausted or sad, he sounded just down.  my husband & i and another couple were the only parents at the MEPS station in miami to go & see our son & her daughter off (it broke my heart for the other kids).   I miss him so much, he is the oldest of my 3 kids & he's 21... best thing for him.  Im really sad that we can only have 4 people at the graduation ! so now i have to leave my 2 daughters behind since my dad is going with us... we will be driving to the graduation from the Ft. lauderdale area & will arrive that the 15th.  as soon as DH tells me which hotel we are at, i can let you all know.  I was lucky, i got a call from Daniel the day after his box and letter came & he was able to give me the corrected address info..  I've been trying to write to him roughly every 2-4 days, i've sent some pictures to... He signed up as a firefighter so his A school is right there & he wont have to fly out anywhere. Thats all i know for now... one of the things i notices the few times he's called is it was the same # so i saved it to my phone & used the sonar ping as the ring tone & dont you think this last call, it was different....lol but i saved that # to with sonar   so this way i know it's him calling even though like you, my phone is branded to my body....{{{ HUGS }}} to you all. I know you feel just like me, happy & sad at the same time... cant wait to meet you all... Lauri

Hi Lauri,  we will definitely have to meet, you are the first mom I met on here that her son is on the same ship, same division and her son is staying at Great Lakes for A school and his job will be DamageControlMan (Firefighter). That would of been hard to see some of the recruits at the MEPS station with no parents there.  I wouldn't of missed it for the world, even though I never cried so hard in my life.  I cannot wait for graduation on 8-16-13.  I'll be a crying mess again but this time with happy tears.  You mentioned above only 4 people are allowed and I have been reading on this site that it is actually only 3 people who can attend his graduation.  Also did you make hotel reservations yet?  We are staying at the Ramada (kind of considering of changing it to the Navy Lodge) but I like the idea it has a pool and our 14 year old daughter will be coming with us so a pool will be nice.  well write back when you can, Holli  PS  when you talk to Daniel ask him if he knows Evan?

Welcome LauriB
I got a bunch of letters from my son today!!! 30 days until PIR!!
I'm bummed I haven't gotten a call today. Tomorrow is going to be a hard day for me and I'll be alone. I was so hoping to hear his voice. Sorry for being a downer. I just needed to vent.
