Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 387 and 388

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important Every single concern is genuine Every single member is important to us We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

Yes, that is correct Marcelle!!!

my daughter is also 12/387.  do you mind me asking his name?

WeeBee's Mom,

Please let us know if the form letter comes. Praying for you!!

You ladies don't know how important you were in getting me through this. I'm a military wife so I didn't think this would be so bad. Boy was I wrong! Yesterday was my black day as I just KNEW that letter was coming. I even went home from work today at lunch...28 miles one way, to check the box and still no letter. I had 6 letters waiting with return address and stamp and just needed that precious delivery address. Marcelle, I used the one you gave me and mailed JUST ONE. That way if something goes wrong, 1 letter lost isn't so bad but I have peace of mind that my SR will have it as soon as he possibly can if the information the recruiter gave me is correct. Thank you for your prayers. Tonight is the first night I have actually been able to relax a little.

WeeBee's Mom: It is priceless having the support from other moms. I just received my son's form letter yesterday in PA, postmarked 8/22. The address is the same as the recruiter gave me, which is the address that Marcelle gave to you. I understand your not wanting to risk losing the letters. Is there a way you can copy them, and keep a copy in case address is different; this way he has something meanwhile. I hear it takes about 5-10 days. Though it will probably just be another day until you get the letter. Keep in mind that no news is good news.

My box came one week after my son left and my letter was two entire weeks!!! You will get yours soon WeeBee's Mom.

WeeBee's Mom,

I know the feeling, I mailed my son's letter out Friday, with address recruiter gave. I felt relief that he would at least get a letter at mail call. If you want to private message me and give your sons first name and last initial I could write my son and ask, I don't know if this would help or not...I know the letter will come, I know it.  Is there anyway you could double check with the recruiter to check the address in computer.

I completely understand the anxiety of not knowing and the love we have for our children!!

God Bless, I am praying always..

WeeBee:s Mom,  I hope today is your lucky day!   I think TritonMom had a good idea and make copies and send them with the address that Marcelle and the recruiter gave you.  It will make you feel better.  My letter was also postmarked 8/22 and I got the letter on Monday.  Please let us know today how you are doing.

Good morning,  I just ordered the RTC challenge coin for ship 12 from pirgifts.com.   Now something else to wait for.  I wonder when we will received our first letters from our SR.

WeeBee's Mom:

Thinking of you today and praying! Calling in all favors to the man upstairs!! lol

Jake@statefarm: Hi, This site is awesome, have met the most amazing supportive people.

Naustmom, Hi, going to order coin also, great idea.

I am also thinking about the ribbons from LaLa. went on site, they look great.

PS.

I think we all know the meaning when the Navy says "Hurry up and wait!!!"

My son's recruiter told my son to get used to it. I am having trouble with this one!!! LOL

Has anyone gotten a call from thier SR??
