Anyonee???

The navy lodge is close to base (1.9 miles) not sure about the shuttle tho. I have reservations made there and it was only 52.00 a night for a king bed and 2 adults. My son is BM (unless they were changing it, his recruiter had him up for something else and paperwork was processed but haven't heard yet) but he will stay in GL for the schooling for BM.

My husband graduated last week. I paid $66 a night for 2 queen bed. The room have a fridge and microwave in it. It is very clean and staff is wonderful. They will give you a map and directions to base. It took 5mins to get to base from the Navy Lodge. Sarge is the guy that does the shuttle. He charges $3. The day b4 PIR, he have a meet and greet with free food. You get to meet all the other families you have been talking to. In addition to getting helpful info on PIR. The lines will be long on PIR, I left the NL at 5:30am with my newborn and the lines were super long, cars were backed up in the street but it went fast when the gates opened. Good luck to your SR ^_^

The Navy Lodge is located 1.9 miles off base from RTC in the Forestal Village Housing area and guests of graduation are allowed to stay there since your recruit/Sailor will be your sponsor. Go to https://www.navy-lodge.com/lodge_page.html?p_lodge_number=05 or call (847)689-1485. All rooms are non-smoking. They also have some family suites that include a kitchen as well as some rooms with kitchenettes. You can also book adjoining rooms if needed. All of the rooms, with the exception of some of the ADA rooms, have two queen beds. All rooms include direct TV and DVD, a refrigerator, a microwave, and free Wifi. They offer cribs and rollaway beds if needed at no additional charge. They have a breakfast to go that you can take with you to PIR and will soon be offering a continental breakfast. There is a picnic area available if guests choose to have a cookout. The Navy Lodge permits pets. Taxis can drive to the Navy Lodge if you don't have your own transportation.
