Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 089 and 090

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important Every single concern is genuine Every single member is important to us We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

@Echo3, I know for sure that he had 2 that had already come in and they caused him to have some "crowding". I guess thats why they are taking them out. I pray that everything goes well. He is quite upbeat, its just like talking to him on the phone when he is home. So proud :)

cjsmom hopefully having two teeth up will be less painful! I'm glad he's upbeat too. This must be quite the adventure for our guys!

I didn't know Alex's wisdom teeth were even in!  For sure I didn't know they were a problem. I don't think they were bothering him.  Maybe he had the 'crowding' issue as well.

...1 month 'til PIR!

Good Morning all. @ATexMom, Yes I am going to PIR. Made my hotel reservation at Holiday Inn Express, haven't done my air yet. My husband, daughter and I cant wait. I pray all will go well for our sons in their surgery.

@Echo3, I can't imagine anything more exciting than this(except probably seeing them at PIR). I am so proud of my son. When he decided to join the navy I was a little skeptical at first because I didn't think he was serious. But he had to loose some weight, and he did, he did well on his AZVAB and he just kept going. I am looking forward to great things from him.

cjsmom I think I felt the same way about my son joining. I knew he was serious after he passed meps and he started working out and eating less.

Did everyone see these ribbons? https://www.etsy.com/shop/customribbons    If you order and use coupon code “NAVYMOMS020714” they will apply a 10% discount to our orders!

I think they would be a great way for us to easily find other parents in our SR's same division at PIR.

1 month from today we will be at PIR!  Can't wait!

Carolyn

Hi Carolyn!  Does each Div wear different colored ribbons?

It looks like they are all the same Navy colors. But you can put your son's division down one of the ribbons as shown.

My fiance is 090. He will be attending A School in Pensacola. I have now received 2 phone calls from him but still no letters.. Hoping for letters and another call this week.

No letters yet here either!

As of my son's phone call on Saturday, he said they had not been able to mail letters out yet. I don't know why. He said he has 14 of them to mail! LOL!

Hi there....sorry to hear about the mail. Our SR said they didnt have a mail petty officer. We did get one set of letters last week, but nothing today. They can only mail letters on Sunday. I also read on Facebook that the commissary meat production and gym are closed due to frozen pipes; maybe the mail carriers are affected also. I surely miss my boy.
