Where is ship 5 moms?

My sailor was hurt Week 5 day 1 and sent to medical (RCU - Recruit Care Unit).  Initially thought it was stress fracture of femur but found to be knee injury.  He was adamant about fighting through and finishing bootcamp and was threatened with separation A LOT!!!  He fought, did what he was required to do by the doctors and therapists and finished bootcamp.

Friend me and I'll tell you what I know.  If she has not been separated yet and is in medical, she will receive treatment and the group for that is Ship 6 injured recruits.

Today she is to go to legal?? she said that a group of recruits all in one room talk about their situation. I told her to fight it, they keep saying that she can get out and heal then come back. I know thats a crock of sh**. I told her to not sign anything and be adamant about wanting to stay in. They have housed her with some of the mentally ill people and she said it is unnerving. Kind of scarey. She has worked so hard to get there and was on DEP for almost a year. What she has can heal but they act like she is going to break.

My son has been sent to ship 5 with a 2311 code-medical.Interested in any other mom's going thru this. What does it cover, what can he/us do will it hold him back fron staying in or re enlisting.?

sheena j I am going through the same thing. I can not believe what they are doing to my daughter.

Thanks, I wasn't even paying attention to the date. My daughter is scheduled to be home this week.
