Go 'Bubbleheads' lol
Nancy,
Have you said hi to Beth, on page 3 of this discussion? Her son is also on the N.Carolina!
My son is a "Nuke" EM2 on the USS Greenville since July, 2008. The Greenville is currently in dry-dock in Portsmouth, NH. The plan was to be in NH till late spring then return to Pearl Harbor (home port). However, he was asked to 'ride' the USS Maryland for a three month patrol. He arriveed in Kngs Bay, GA on Saturday and is heading out very very soon. He is ready for his first deployment and feels prepared for the patrol. He will return to the Greenville after he get back on the Maryland. "FEAR THE TURTLE"
Hooya! My son Michael is also assigned to the USS Greeneville. He is a rider on the USS Springfield for six months and is getting ready to hit the two month mark since leaving port.

He told me Sunday morning that the Greeneville will deploy sometime next August or September for their six month tour before going to Pearl Harbor. I was so sad....... guess this is life now. But I can't wait to see him in March. He is a Fire Technician. Were you at A school graduation in July? We were there for 11 days to camp and run around CT. Going through the sub there at the museum actually helped me to stop having nightmares about tiny little spaces. LOL

We will have to keep in touch. Where are you from? I am in Ohio
My son Lee serves on the USS Georgia. Stationed today in Kings Bay, Ga
My son Bobby is a MT aboard the USS Maryland in Kings Bay, GA. He left yesterday for his first
deployment. The hardest part is not being able to hear from him. The other thing is him and his
wife have a new baby boy that is six weeks old.
There is the "sailor mail" email system. You should be able to get some email to him and some back.
My son Brandon is also on the USS Maryland. He is on his third deployment. It dosen't get any easier not hearing from him. I come home everyday and check my e-mail hoping.......... maybe today. He is also a MT. I'm sure they know each other
My son, Matt, is an FT aboard the USS Albany. This is our first deployment so we're pretty green!
Hi CJ-My son is an ET and on his first tour with the USS Albany. I saw your post and not any others to the Albany so I thought I'd write and see how your son likes it so far. What do you hear from him? Now we are the "green ones" and your son is the experienced one!!! How's he doing on his quals?

Vicki PNM of Kevin
My son Sean is serving on board the USS North Carolina SSN 777. He is a machinist's mate.
Beth,
Have you said hello to Nancy Fortini? She's on page 2 of this discussion... her son is also on the N.Carolina!
