This is a ship that has both Marines and Sailors on board. We will be working on and every other week shipping schedual to make it easier on us and the Ship. We will be starting with the 22nd MEU as they will have the numbers for me first. They have heard a lot about us from the USS Boxer and are looking forward to getting our pillowcases. I have heard from the XO, CMC and the RP1 (chaplains office) and we are crunching numbers.

Please make sure you email both Sue and I so we can make sure things go smoothly. Let's have fun and show them some Heads At Ease Love.

I recieved this from the Chaplain for the 22nd.MEU:

The Chaplain for the ship is so overwhelmed by what we are doing, he said in all his years in the Navy this is the first time someone is making them all something hand-made. That made my heart fill with joy.

I am posting a photo here of a gift that was sent to HAE from the Marines aboard this ship.  I received it on Wed.  What a blessing it is.  The hard part of a unit sending a gift to HAE is it has to go to someone.  This time it was me.

BUT let me be clear that it is a gift for all who contribute to HAE!  While I founded this project 6 years ago this month, HAE is done with many hands.  And many hands make light work.

I appreciate all of you and I know that everyone who receives some comfort from home in the unique way that HAE gives, appreciates your hard work as well.

Enjoy!

That is so special, Sue.  I am enjoying being part of this group. I don't post much, but I am always talking about HAE. Thank you starting HAE.  God bless everyone who has a part in bringing joy and gifts of love and support to our military.

I am so PROUD of Heads at Ease!  I wonder whose pc this young man received!  To think those men and women aboard that ship each have some comfort from home from us.  PRICELESS!

Good morning

My name is EM2 Renee and I would like to thank you for the

of the colours and ship regulations.. Just know they are appreciated I
actual took two but misplace that person email. Please let everybody know
they are being use and very much cherished.

Respectfully yours , EM2

she got 1 of Virginia's pcs:

Being new to Heads at Ease, where do I send pillowcases to, how many should be sent at one time, etc?  Any information for a newbie would be very helpful.

Thanks!

Hi hearthhaven,

I or Maryellen usually post a thread aka discussion if the current group is very large and will take several "waves" to complete.  Yes, the pun is intended-I am a Navy mom afterall.

If it's smaller, I put something in the 2014 misc thread.  More often then not though, I put out a plea thru private email.  Please send me a personal message with your email address.  That way I can also send you updates.

I prefer that the pillowcases be mailed direct.  although you can send them to me or Maryellen.   But mailing direct saves $.  I send out the address once we have a mailing scheduled and I know who will be participating in it.

How many you send is somewhat up to you and how many you have made.  Once you get some done, let me know and I keep a list that I can pull from

We just finished mailing to a ship today.  We tend to mail about every 2 weeks.  Looking forward to having your help.  Take a look around the discussion archives for some other info.  Or I can email it to you.
