Yesterday I received my husband letter giving me his PIR graduation date but I'm still confused on how he will get  paid, and will I receive BAH and Separation pay? Is there anyone I can talk to so they can answer all of my questions because his recruiters seem like they don't care now that he has left. They won't even answer the phone for me.

When he gets to boot camp, he decides where the money goes.  It is all direct deposit, they do not cut checks.  He either took his hometown banking information with him, and it goes there, or he set up a new account at boot camp with Navy Federal or USAA.  His recruiter would have no way to know what choice your husband made.

Paydays are on the 1st and 15th, and usually it takes a couple weeks to get them processed in. FSA does not show up until after 30 days.  BAH will lag behind base pay,  and may not show up right away.  Once BAH begins, it shows up in the pay half on the 1st, half on the 15th (or business day before).  The first pay may be quite small, then it evens out.  Do not forget federal taxes, and potentially state taxes too.

The recruiters responsibility is done once they leave for Boot Camp !!!!

The Page, When Will the Recruits be Paid? and Information for Spouses, has important information for you.

Check your My Page.

My sons recruit kept in touch with us after he left for BC. He was involved with my SR for 3 years and did a wonderful job of sharing info we all needed. I can reach out to him any time for answers and support. Very thankful still.
