We are adopting both of these ships and they are carrying the 24th MEU. If you have some pillowcases made please let me know!
Although we did the USS New York in Dec 2009 (thank you Ally for heading up the delivery of the pcs)
they had not deployed at that time. Now, they are deployed with a Marine unit on board so we will do them again. And there probably aren't many on the ship that were there in 2009.

The USS New York is finished! We were able to complete it in 2 waves!
Ladies,
Thank you so much for the great pillowcases you sent us at the 24th MEU. You’re so kind to have thought of us and dedicated your time. We truly appreciate it. God bless.

Ann,
Thanks for the pillow case. I picked the light blue one with little pirate ships, because it reminds me of sponge bob square pants, especially the yellow ones, and my kids.
I work with flight operations and also train a small group of sailors to go ashore with the Marines to control aircraft at expeditionary landing zones. Do you have a spouse or son or daughter in the Navy?
Hope all is well back in Nevada, thanks for the support.

Sarah and everyone at Heads at Ease,
Thank you so much for the time and effort you put into making, packaging and shipping the vast amount of pillow cases for USS NEW YORK. I can’t tell you how much this means to me and my Sailors, just knowing that others are thinking of us as we’re deployed. Take care!

Dear Sue Lamberson,
I was pleasantly surprised to see that your organization had taken time
out of their busy schedules to provide handmade pillow cases for each of my
Sailors and Marines onboard USS IWO JIMA (LHD 7). Each of these pillow cases
is certainly something I know each of my crewmembers will enjoy and cherish
with fond memories of this current deployment.
It is not so much the gift you sent that makes this so special, but the
fact that it came from you and a small group of women who willfully took the
time to remember each one of us as we are out here, away from our families,
protecting our country and loved ones. These pillow cases are a wonderful
way for each of us to have a little piece of home.
Thank you very much and an incredibly huge THANK YOU to Heads At Ease.
Sincerely,

My friend's son is a Marine on the Iwo Jima!!!! Makes me happy!
that's a fun connection!
I recently got an AWESOME Star Wars pillowcase from your organization! It is fantastic and I thought you would like to know that I will be sleeping with it every night! The pillowcases made for us were a fantastic mid-deployment surprise. I greatly appreciate the thought and care put into the gifts sent to us.
Thank you very much!
Sincerely, FC3(SW) Jacob, W
